  1. Dallas is a very good team and it's on the road. This wasn't going to be an easy game. Now, so far they're playing much worse that I'd expect, but a loss here is sorta what I expected.
  2. How dare Glenn call a play where Dallas gets aware with a blatant hold and the Vildor falls down.
  3. It's gonna be like that tonight, eh Refs?
  4. That's my feeling as well. Against the Saints he really went off... 140 yards. Outside of that he's only averaging 47 yards per game. Now, if he gets another game over 100+ yards then that makes it much easier, but I don't see that coming.
  5. It's possible... It's hard to know what's really driving the player. It might be the contract, it might be the change in scenery, it might be that he's just gotten lucky injury-wise this year, it might be that the Lions being only able to get the value from him that they did being a wake up call that he needs to up his game... likely it's some combo of all of that. Next year will tell us more of course.
  6. It this scenario this week? I'd probably play it a bit differently if it was this week or against the Cowboys or the final week.
  7. This one's for you @Motown Bombers
  8. ThatsGoodSports post game video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtvqPtz34jM
  9. We don't actually know that. He's never had a chance to do it.
  10. I did not know that. I think a better solution is possible... but as I said, the fact that it a fair catch signal isn't missed more often means I'm probably looking for a solution without a real problem.
  11. What Randy said... lot of times the returners try to fake out the kicking team when it's close to the endzone. I'm pretty sure it happened later in this very game.
  12. I've always kinda thought the fair catch signal was weird. It's can be such a quick signal and it's different for different guys... I'm honestly surprised it isn't missed more often. It seems to me that there should be some auditory signal of some sort, but I guess the fact that it isn't missed more maybe means there doesn't need to be?
  13. I also saw after I had already replied that later in the thread many others said the same thing, so I guess I didn't really need to post that, but oh well... 🙂
  14. I don't think so... on the reply you can see he was tracking the ball when Raymond was signaling fair catch. I think he genuinely did not see the sign.
  15. The best theory I've heard is that Payton wanted more time to watch the replay to decided if he wanted to challenge the call or not. Wilson snapped the ball too quickly.
  16. Actually the percentages seemed to go down with age, not up. Obviously it's just a calculator, not a perfect predictor. And yes, it's not zero, but my point is that it's not very high and injuries in football happen all the time. I won't avoid someone based solely on a 5% increase in major injury. And while Holmes does have a history of history of acquiring injured players I still don't think a 5% increase is that much. Obviously it's one of many factors that need to be considered.
  17. Using the Calculator on that page and using the oldest age allow (22 years old - Moseley is 27) the calculator shows between a 4.9% and 7.0% chance of tearing the other ACL within 6 years. That doesn't seem like an incredibly high chance to me.
  18. Potsy Clark needs to be at the top of the list, as least as of right now. Buddy Parker and George Wilson should also be in the top 10.
  19. As of today, Campbell has 21 wins. That ranks him 10th in terms of regular season wins in Lions coaching history. In case you're curious:
  20. Because it's such an important position and because he's played pretty darn well I don't know if you can really go with anyone outside of Goff. I don't think I can really put anyone else as more important to the Lions success.
  21. I suspect part of this is the old: "Everyone driving slower than me is being way too cautious and everyone driving faster than me is a crazy idiot"-syndrome. I suspect part of this is that it's often easier to talk about negative things than positives. I suspect part of this is Lions fans being shell shocked by so many awful years that we're just waiting for the next bad thing. And I suspect part of this is that the Lions haven't played really well for the month or so. They've played well enough to win but they haven't dominated like I'd like to see. Maybe this is just normal for good teams? Maybe most games aren't blow outs even by really good teams and we (jaded Lions fans) just need to learn what it's like to be a fan of a good team?
  22. Wrong. Look, I'll defend you, TP, in the game threads. I've said a million times: What happens during the game stays during the game. We're all a little crazy while the game is on and that's fine. But the whole point of the ignore function is so people can AVOID getting into little ticky-tack flame wars. If a person gets rubbed the wrong way by a specific person then use the ignore. That's way the feature is there.
