  1. If you haven't heard about this, you can plug in an address or location and see a timelapse of satellite images for the area. Download Detroit area: https://earthengine.google.com/timelapse/#v=42.33442,-83.07986,11.688,latLng&t=3.04&ps=50&bt=19840101&et=20201231&startDwell=0&endDwell=0

  3. Wow these guys suck... they'll fit right in here.
  4. It's pretty common though that "next years" picks are worth less than this years picks. You give up the value of the pick now for a better place next year. I'd even say that the Dolphins got a good deal in that trade... I mean in terms of value.
  5. I dunno... I mean I get what your saying, that's he was put off by having to following the NFL song and dance and just left. But, if he doesn't like this "song and dance" what other things is he going to buck against? Obviously just because he won't do this doesn't mean he'll automatically not do other things, but does make me wonder: Will he skip out on "non-mandatory" mini-camps? Will he think he knows better than the coaches and so not follow their training recommendations? Talent, by itself, is meaningless. Without proper motivation and desire talent won't carry you at the pro-level. (The flip side of this is that motivation and desire, by themselves, are also meaningless.) You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't learn the system, work out, mesh with your team and coaches, you won't be great for the team. Titus Young is an example of this... granted, he didn't have the talent level of Kayvon, but he had good physical skills but mentally failed. (Just to reply to the question I'm sure I'll get asked: Are you seriously comparing Kayvon's mental makeup to Young? No, I'm saying that Young is an example of how talent without proper motivation failed a player.)
  6. What's 66 over all worth on the chart? I'm fairly confident it isn't 600 points, but it might make it slightly more palatable. I looked it up: 260. So it's 2860 pts for 3200... still not a very good return for the Giants.
  7. Not sure if these trades are realistic, but I didn't force anything.
  8. I'm not necessarily saying it won't happen, but until I start seeing mocks with Walker taken by the Jags I'm going to assume it's more talk/click-bait then reality. Obviously it could happen... and I'd like it if it did. But until I see someone put their reputation on the line (for whatever that's worth) by mocking Walker 1st over all I'm not going to think it'll happen.
  9. That's like the 3rd almost HR for him, right? Anyone think he's second guessing coming to Detroit? 🙂
  10. Purely as a discussion cause it wouldn't happen in real life: On a scale of 7th round to 2nd round, what would you be willing to give up to move from 2nd to 1st pick? Obviously we'd have to give up our 2nd over all pick, but what else would you give up to get Hutchinson? Take into account our current situation: That is that we have a lot of holes to fill and that while Hutch seem to be the highest rated edge pick AND a good fit for a Dan Campbell led Lions, there are still other very good DL options beyond him. Note also this isn't a question of what you think the Jags would accept, just a question of what you'd be willing to give up. Personally I'm pretty sure I'd give up our last 3rd rounder (97th over all). I don't think I'd go any higher than that.
  11. Anyone want to help me make this on Reddit's place? https://www.reddit.com/r/place/?cx=611&cy=997&px=23
  12. This just came across my youtube feed: I actually remember watching this game... it was just crazy.
  13. If they'd take the Rams pick, I'd do that instantly. But I'm guessing they would look for the Lions pick 'cause it'll likely be much higher. Could be (assuming this is true) they are trying to position themselves to be able to take the best QB option next year?
  14. Thanks for the info/clarification.
  15. Just did it again for a full 7 rounds... note that I only accepted trades that were offered to me. I did NOT propose or force anything.
  16. I tried Profootball Network's draft sim... um... I think it's kinda broken. I got offered so many trades, here's the results of round 1: Note also that the Lions also picked up a few picks for next year: Jets' 6th round pick Panther's 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks.
  17. The other Grand Jury was denied?
  18. Hmm... Maybe the Browns hold onto Mayfield a little longer??
  19. The value of draft picks has just dropped like a rock this off season. So many huge trades with multiple picks being exchanged. Is this the NFL (over?) reacting to the Rams getting a SB championship by giving away all their picks?
  20. After a LOT of phone calls and and wheeling and dealing, I think this sets the Lions up for a lot of success in the future. The 2nd round really has been a great spot for the Lions in the past after all.
  21. I just watched a bunch of Willis highlights on youtube and I can't say that I'm overtly impressed. It's not that he was bad... not at all. But I just wasn't wowed either. Of course, that's my opinion as a just who watches the Lions and very little else so I'm certainly not an expert.
  22. This is guys... I found clearly the best mock draft by clearly a well informed, super heavily researched writer: https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/2022-nfl-mock-draft-eagles-get-help-wideout-defensive-line With all those holes to fill, clearly we should draft a player to perhaps the strongest position on the team. Makes perfect sense.
  23. A 3rd? Look, I know Ryan is sorta past his prime and all, but with the prices being set by Watson and Wilson that seems like a HUGE discount.
  24. I read or heard somewhere a number of years back that when players rise and fall in the mock drafts that this isn't the player rising and falling in NFL team's opinion, but rather it's based on what the media is hearing. The teams have mostly decided how they are rating players obviously some fluctuation based on new info... but the majority of the movement is just that leaks* are happening that make the media go: "Oh, this guy is now being highly rated so he should move up on my mock draft!" *And of course some of those leaks might be false leaks as well!
