Gotta love FDS showing a replay with sound of Marcus Smart cursing at Isaiah Stewart when the live sound clearly broadcast the verbiage two minutes prior.

They may trust him up front with the tariffs, but the consumer will ultimately pay for it with price hikes. Grocery prices aren't any better now then when he started this term, and that was one of his main selling points. So not only are prices not getting any better, they're going to get worse. But hey, if it adversely affects his own cult base, too, spreading the pain to everyone is probably better than just attacking his enemies?

I would think sparring with Canada and this ridiculous on off on off on off tariff would work against King Trump, too. If the tariffs are enacted, steel and aluminum are going to affect everyone in some way. But who knows, I cannot fathom he was elected again given his history, so what do I know?

It could be worse. The injuries aren’t good. But at least the Tigers have someone in the fold that seems to be playing well enough that breaking camp with him on the roster wouldn’t be a terrible thing.

I’m not saying anything about what kind of person he is. I just don’t see why there needs to be stink about posting activities elsewhere. If you want to converse with someone, so be it. If you want to ignore someone, so be it.

Should be interesting to see how that affects canned goods, which, oh wait a second, weren’t grocery prices promised to be reduced?

I understand the desire to write him off. But if the surgery does the trick for him physically and he can make changes to his approach such that he’s himself defensively and closer to career norms at the plate, that’d be a good thing for the Tigers. Sunk cost, so sure, if he’s no good anymore, release him. But if he can rebound to a level that benefits the Tigers, let’s enjoy that.

So what? Make your choice to ignore or not and live with it.

What’s the problem with the ignore list?

The reports of Giancarlo Stanton’s elbows are some combination of distressing / disturbing / confusing. Both elbows might require surgery? Good grief. Did these guys shave too much? Should the Yankees have lifted the facial hair policy years ago?

Agree, it shouldn’t have happened that way. But part of Stewart’s issue is that he allows himself to respond badly often enough that he’s got the reputation of a quick fuse now. They also gave Curry a tech, but I think the ref mentioned it was for responding to Stewart rather than instigating.

I wonder if Jahmai Jones is that OF depth. 8 don’t know what he looks like in CF and I know spring stats aren’t the greatest barometer. But it sounds like he’s making the most of his opportunity.

I think in 2021 MLB was real particular about not having the Florida teams travel too much outside of those pods because of COVID. It seems like the Central Florida and Gulf of Mexico teams had their 5 team pods and rotated a team from each to cross into the other pod every day. The 5 Atlantic teams stayed on their side, maybe having split squad doubleheaders to fill the void of the odd team not always having a day off. It’s kind of interesting to me the evolution of teams moving from Florida to Arizona. It used to be 18 teams in Florida and 8 teams in Arizona. Now it’s split 50/50. I kind of wonder if more teams will migrate to Arizona. It’s certainly a better geographical standpoint with reduced game to game travel and it seems like the facilities are probably newer.
