  1. What blackout rules are these?
  2. Nah, not a swipe at you, but whomever produced that. Why not Vinnie Johnson? Chuck Daly? James Edwards? Mark Aguirre?
  3. Krogers and Meijers.
  4. I watched OSU and PSU at live time during the 2nd half. I had forgotten how awful the commercial time was.
  5. I guess it does give me plenty of time to go to the bathroom, flip some laundry in the machines, take the vehicle for an oil change, grab a few sundries from the store, go to the bathroom again, and then sit back down to the game.
  6. Seems weird to have Mahorn as one of the only fiveplayers on a memo for the back to back since he was only around for the back and not the back.
  7. That's great. Now somebody do something about cutting down commercial time during college football games.
  8. Nice to see them not completely fold after building up a nice lead.
  9. How about TWTW?
  10. Don’t know. I heard a theory that Boras might be more diff to deal with this offseason as he might be trying to make up for last offseason. I don’t know if that makes sense or not. Regardless, I wouldn’t think he has an extension for Skubal high up on his priority list this winter. Hopefully there’s a heck of a bond between Skubal and Hinch/Fetter/Nieves/Lund that Skubal wants to extend and he tells Boras he’s ready to sign it, but that’s probably just too optimistic.
  11. My wife and I went up to Greenfield Village years ago. There was an old time baseball tournament going on. Harwell happened to be there to “broadcast” a game for those in attendance. He didn’t really do play by play in as much as he and the analyst had a conversation about the goings on and the rules of the game as it was going on. Things like the batter choosing for the pitcher whether he wanted the ball higher or lower (the umpire would declare “striker, state your preference), fly balls caught on one bounce was still an out, the home team turned their backs to the local train as it went by as they were not in favor of such mechanical beasts, etc. It was really cool.
  12. I just hope they hit their stride in time for the mid season NBA Cup.
  13. Stewart fouls out in 13 minutes off of the bench? That’s kind of impressive.
  14. Was it his back or his hip? Or both? I think you might have something with the earlier commit.
  15. No, I’m talking specifically about the rule, not the exact play that occurred. I think the rule is the same in the NFL. I realize it probably only happens a handful of times during a season. I’d opine it’s a bit too punitive and if it occurred in a playoff game at either level and resulted in some momentum one way or another, the penalty would be a hot topic for change.
  16. My wife and I had our driveway replaced this year. I had a few calls out to contractors for quotes. One agreed to meet me at my house at 4:00. At 3:45, I get a semi angered call asking where I was. I was about 3 minutes from home, told him I would be home before the agreed to time, but if he wanted to start measuring stuff feel free to do so. So I get home, and see an idling diesel pick up in front of my yard and a red hatted dude walking off the lengths. Well, sure, I thought to myself there wasn’t any way that hat was a Cincy Reds or Ohio State hat. Of course, it was a dunce cap. So I just let him waste his time, listened to him prattle off about he was better than any other contractor, wished him a good day, and tossed his estimate.
  17. You’ve heard of Pete Gray, haven’t you?
  18. The referees called the play correctly, I don’t dispute that at all. I have no doubt based on the angle of where the ball was lost and where it hit the turf that it crossed above the pylon and the rule was applied correctly. But I’m curious what others think about the rule regarding the offense fumbling out of the offensive end zone.
  19. Do you think he’d be considered elite? I suspect he might have been an under the radar guy with all of the attention given to Soto and Bregman.
  20. I didn’t realize he was out that long. But as far as the opportunity goes, they have Baez and maybe that’s the grace period they give him next season. One or two months, if he’s still lost at the plate, Kim steps into that roster spot? I don’t know.
  21. I thought this was PSU’s year. Thankfully the OSU defense got a call from Stan Van Gundy and they formed a ****ing wall in front of the end zone.
  22. He’s waiting to see what Maybin gets.
  23. I think he’d be a great fit. He might not have the power, but his right handed bat and his defensive versatility (SS included) would be a welcome addition to the team.
  24. How about this, Winfield was drafted by four teams in three different sports (MLB, NBA, ABA, NFL). I always feared him as he was a Yankee and had that enormously hulking stature and he was just a beast at the plate when I really got into baseball as a kid. But you listen to him in interviews and he seems quite engaging and personable rather than threatening.
  25. Enberg called a few Tiger games. I looked it up, one game in 2016 and two games in 2017. I don’t recall much of an announcement ahead of those games, but I enjoyed hearing him handle the 2017 games (which I recall because they were back to back).
