  1. Now I want to watch The Village again... LOL! It's available on Hulu, for anyone else that is interested.
  2. I keep getting burned by comedy sequels. I know they are almost always terrible, and yet I convince myself to watch them. Fortunately most of them were streaming or rentals, and not paid for at a theater. These include: Anchorman 2 Coming To America 2 Bill & Ted Face The Music I have somewhat learned my lesson though, because I have avoided Dumb & Dumber To, Horrible Bosses 2, Clerks 2, and Zoolander 2 (among others).
  3. I was with my parents and some aunts/uncles over the weekend. They got to talking about the shows they watch (Grey's, Million Little Things, Young Sheldon), and bemoaning that "nothing was on last night". This conversation really threw me, because I realized how little (none, actually) "network" TV I watch. (I mostly watch HBO and AMC shows, besides things on Netflix/Hulu.) And it boggled my mind that anyone would be watching shows as they aired, instead of things they had recorded (or on-demand/streaming). I honestly think the last network show I watched live on a regular basis was Lost, and even then we would start it 20 minutes late so we could fast-forward through the commercials.
  4. All of these cast lists are missing the "washed up" actor/actress that QT decides to spotlight (except the person that said Kirstie Alley...LOL). I'll go with John Cusack as Tin Man.
  5. I was having similar problems (dropouts and video call issues), and my problem was two-fold. My wifi router was in the basement, and where I was working was on the second floor of the house, so my wifi connection wasn't great. Switching to the Google Nest mesh system fixed that. Now I have a great signal throughout the house. The second problem was my internet connection from my provider (Buckeye) was inadequate. I think I was still on 25 mbps. Bumped up to the 100 mbps plan, and all is well even with both the wife and I working from home most days.
  6. I should clarify. I'm not a fixer. Of anything. Not appliances. Not electronics. Not plumbing. Not drywall. Nothing. I've tried to become one, many times, with many failures and curse words in my wake. I am now at the point in my life where I have accepted and embraced this about myself, which is for the betterment of myself and (especially) those around me. (NOTE: I did successfully replace a light fixture in our closet with an LED version, with only one F-bomb in the process. Although, I do believe the Mrs is still concerned about it potentially falling on her some morning when she's trying to get ready.)
  7. I have neither of those things.
  8. Oh I paid plenty for that LG, which makes it all the more frustrating. It was the EG9100 series, which was one of their higher end models at the time.
  9. I had forgotten about those Highland commercials. So great. Last night my main TV bit the dust. Was watching baseball playoffs, and then I wasn't... Could still hear the audio, but the panel just completely died... So, I'm looking at the LG C1 OLED. It looks great, but the one that died was an LG and not that old (4.5 years, I believe). Any others I should consider? Looking at 55 inch.
  10. That is pretty freakin' cool! Just think, if they can do that, then it should be easy enough to highlight the puck in some way...
  11. Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead...
  12. I don't feel bad for Gruden. It is odd though that his emails are the only thing that leaked from the investigation into the WFT. That reeks of a separate agenda from someone. That said, I would be surprised if there isn't more to come, not only regarding Washington, but things related to other teams/owners/coaches as well. No way Gruden was the only one sending stupid emails to Bruce Allen.
  13. Seems like something I would do to Casimir (if he ever actually watched movies).
  14. Great, thanks. I'll try to remember that. I agree that dubs are usually the worst option.
  15. Is there a recommendation with regard to the subtitles, or do you just have to live with it? I usually watch shows in the original language with English subs. Seems unlikely that I should choose the English dub for this. I was going to search it myself, but don't want to stumble on any spoilers...
  16. This has a lot going for it.
  17. I guess I just disagree that the Mr I era is some cloud hanging over the team, or an elephant in the room or whatever other metaphor you want to use. Now when/if they get back to a place where they seem to be a player or two away from a championship, that might be a different story.
  18. What leads you to believe it was a dig at the Mike Illitch era? I just took it as not being like the Yankees/Dodgers. My mind didn't go to Mike Illitch / Dombrowski at all.
  19. It seems like they have talked pretty openly on the broadcasts about impact signings this off-season, so I will be sorely disappointed if we don't end up with Correa AND a top pitcher (Verlander).
  20. I was really pulling for the chaos of the four way tie. At a minimum though I wanted one of Yankees/Red Sox knocked out of the wild card, so that was highly disappointing. As long as neither of them win, I'm happy. Best case to me though is Brewers vs Rays.
  21. You're not wrong! My mom was diagnosed in May 2020, so right in the middle of all the COVID nonsense. She had her surgery in Feb and now will have her last treatment at the end of October. In some ways, the pandemic helped. Since so much was shut down during that period, she didn't actually miss out on much. On the other hand, not being able to really see her and spend time with her really sucked. It's been a long, bumpy, uncertain road but better days are ahead. My thoughts are with you Cruzer.
  22. I guess... but at what BPM? I have a hard enough time getting things to sound right when I have the full tab information. If I'm just supposed to make up my own pattern and pace until it sounds right, that seems way harder.
  23. Well... not great... I still practice regularly, but I've hit a wall of sorts in terms of progress. I work on a bunch of riffs (Seven Nation Army, Blister In The Sun, One, Come As You Are), but I don't get anywhere beyond that. At one point I decided I was going to learn Knee Deep all the way through (I'm a big Buffett fan), but no part of that is in any way recognizable. I can read and follow tabs just fine (mostly), but what I can't make sense of are chord charts (like this one). I get that I play a G for the first line, then a D for the second, etc, but without a strumming pattern or anything else to follow, I have no idea where to start. So I don't.
