I have tickets to game four in Detroit, and I'm guessing it's going to end up a 4:00 game because the stupid Yankees will be in prime time. That stinks, because my brother and nephew are supposed to be going with us, and it will be much tougher for them to get away from work.

Why are we panicking about TP exactly? I feel out of the loop, and like to stress about the same things others are.

Shoot. No wonder my son's little league team wasn't very good.

Since the beginning of the three game wild card (admittedly not long ago), teams that won the first game are 8-0 for the series, and 7-1 in game two.

When I was young, my dad would take me to a lot of baseball card shows for autographs. One of my friends was a huge Reds (and hence Pete Rose) fan, so we got tickets and went to the card show. Every other show I've ever been to the player would at least look up and acknowledge you when you got to the table. Not Rose. Head down, signing and on to the next, as fast as he could. My friend tried to say something to him about being a huge fan, and got no response whatsoever. Not even a glance up or a nod. Pales in comparison to all of the other "bad guy" stories about Rose, I know.

@casimir I don't know why you ever even bother recording the game and try to watch it later. You know when something interesting happens, I'm just going to text you about it immediately. That's the way it always has been, and always will be.

While killing time waiting for Tigers playoff baseball to start (could be working, I guess...), I was thinking about this. I will not get another gas powered snow blower, but I am very intrigued by the battery powered two-stage ones. At $2k though, it feels steep, but I also know how much I hate shoveling snow.

We've had to "root" for Cleveland a couple of times over these last few weeks. Felt so dirty and gross.

The Os are +140 tonight, not -140, and Cade Povich is not exactly contending for the Cy Young. They also have very little to play for. They are three games ahead for the top wild card spot. That said, if Tigers get a decent lead in the game tonight before MIN even starts, then MIN will absolutely fold.

I was over there last weekend and said "I was thinking about maybe going to a game this week" interrupted by a "YES!!" halfway through. 🤣

I will be in attendance with the parents, so yes they might as well do that. I bought the tickets early this week hoping it would work out to be the potential clincher. Now that it is, the tickets are 4-5 times as much. Good job me!

Littell has been pretty good since coming back off the IL, but he also doesn't tend to go deep in games. Let's get his count up early!

I love Benetti and I'll be thrilled to have him for as long as the Tigers possibly can. I have no problem with him working other games, and don't take it as some slight on the Tigers that he does so. He does go off the rails occasionally, but that's OK with me. He's a marked improvement over Mario and Shep, and that's all I care about.

I won't miss him, but I feel a little bad for Shelby. He's been with the team all season and is getting the boot with six days to go in the middle of a post season run.

The last couple episodes of that show made my brain melt. I literally said to myself "wait, WTF is happening right now?!?!?". LOL!

It was funny hearing Dirks and Benetti talk about the idea that KC could end up being the team they are chasing. A sweep would certainly pull that into higher plausibility. Also, I really like Dirks and Benetti together, although Dirks does fall into the "Tony Romo-style" of pitch/play guessing a little too much for me sometimes.

In two starts vs KC this year (early in the year though), Mize has given up 9 runs in the first two innings.

The problem is, Mize tends to give up runs early before then settling in.

Did we ever find out what he was so upset about?
