  1. I didn't know LL Cool J was still doing music, but his new song with Eminem is great (Murdergram Deux).
  2. I am perfectly happy with Brian Kelly's performance at LSU. I wish he could be put in charge of all of the SEC teams.
  3. Yeah, this is why a VP and Pres candidate spouting off about this like this on national TV isn't actually all that funny. There are too many nutjobs out there that get enabled by it.
  4. We need to lock in, people! We still have meaningful games THIS year to worry about. The time for spitballing about next year is after this year is over, and it ain't! You same people are probably at WalMart buying Christmas decorations right now.
  5. I went to look at Flaherty's stats with the Dodgers, and I noticed that they have used 38 different pitchers this year! It seems like the Tigers have used a lot, and they are "only" at 25. That's insane.
  6. The teams behind and tied with Detroit don't actually concern me too much. In order to make up the five games we are behind MIN/KC, we have to keep winning anyway. If we do that, those other teams will pretty much take care of themselves. Since MIN and KC are playing each other this weekend and we still have a series vs KC remaining, I guess I'm rooting for MIN? There are other ways to go about it, but that seems to be the most straightforward.
  7. No, I feel like his name was "slick" or "shady" something... Now it's going to drive me crazy trying to come up with it.
  8. The first thing to come to mind when I saw this photo was the time on the old forum when one of the goofball members asked if we liked his new hat. His username is right on the tip of my brain, as are the rest of the details...
  9. Throwing the first pitch anywhere near the strike zone is a terrible, awful idea. The one from Montero was inexcusable.
  10. For some reason I have a hard time ranking the Batman movies in with his other work. I've also not seen Following, but for everything else I'd go: Inception, Prestige, Memento, Interstellar, Dunkirk, Oppenheimer, Insomnia, Tenet I'd probably slot the Batman movies between Interstellar and Dunkirk, if I had to.
  11. I still cannot get my head around this scheduling. Play in Detroit on Sunday, then an afternoon game in SD with an off day after that? It makes no sense. There were plenty of other teams that didn't play yesterday.
  12. Notable releases: Office Space Analyze This 10 Things I Hate About You The Matrix Election The Mummy Star Wars Episode 1 Austin Powers: Spy Who Shagged Me Big Daddy South Park American Pie Blair Witch Project Mystery Men Sixth Sense Bowfinger For Love of The Game American Beauty Three Kings Fight Club Being John Malkovich Dogma Toy Story 2 Green Mile Magnolia Man On The Moon Galaxy Quest I'm sure I left someone's favorite off the list, but those jumped out at me anyway. What a great year for comedies that was! Of course, Office Space didn't really find it's audience until DVD, but still. I've seen so many of those movies countless times. The one's I've rewatched most recently are Mystery Men and Office Space, so I guess it comes down to those two. I think I'd pick Office Space though. It still (mostly) holds up, and is so quotable. The Matrix was amazing at the time, but doesn't hold up nearly as well. It's impact on action movies though was significant.
  13. Watching a game between these two squads would be absolute torture.
  14. Which makes zero sense to me. It is WAY warmer in late August than it is in early June.
  15. If someone is waiting for Trump to admit fault to something, they are going to be waiting a LONG LONG time.
  16. Is that to break 100 over 9 holes or 18? 🤣
  17. I mean, if he were truly a bullpen piece, you'd see him pitch randomly an inning or two every few days. He doesn't do that. He's on the same regular pitching cycle as any other "starting pitcher".
  18. Yes he is. He just doesn't pitch in the first (or sometimes second) inning. If that's working for him (and it seems to be), then there is no reason to change it.
  19. I am so ridiculously bad at golf, and it's making me crazy. I've been in a league with some friends the past couple of years, which is the first time in my 50+ years that I've played golf on a regular basis (or kept score). No one in the league cares that I'm bad, even my brother teammate, except for me. It's a beer cart league, and just out to have fun. Which it is, when I'm not doing the golf part. I even took some lessons this summer, in an effort to moderately improve. Instead it has somehow made me worse. Now instead of being able to drive the ball (but not really know where it's going), I either pop it up straight in the air or top it. The only things that kinda improved is my chipping and putting. Irons are OK, but wildly inconsistent. At least there I know what I am trying to do, but I am completely lost in the tee box.
  20. That would be great. I struggle with all of those things. Well, except the oil. I just wait for the car to "ding", and then in it goes for service.
  21. And this week, the film has the highest ever domestic gross for an R-rated feature. The former record holder? Just our lord and savior Jesus Christ. The Passion of the Christ held the record for more than 20 years at $370 million. According to Deadline, the two week gross for D&W is now $395 million domestic.
  22. Probably. I don't really know. I haven't been to a movie in ages. LOL! I just thought it was funny that Deadpool passed Passion Of The Christ. I never would have guessed that was the #1 R-rated movie.
  23. Deadpool and Wolverine is the highest earning R-rated movie of all time. It passed.... "Passion Of the Christ".
