  1. Lol, hey Al rub in some more Brylcreem!
  2. I think I would rather have Matt Vierling on the team than Gregory Soto.
  3. One of the things I love about the postseason is Jake Rogers catching every game.
  4. Enjoy the game lads, I am driving 7.5 hours tomorrow to visit my mother in law who is 93 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. Maybe I will get the game on Sirius radio, don't know yet.
  5. Screwball that is what I felt at the time too, Ralph Houk left and Jim Leyland had been managing all these young guys, Trammell and Whitaker and the others, and I really wanted him to get the Tigers job...and they gave it to Les Moss. Les Moss? Come on, wtf. To be fair Les Moss had been managing in the Tigers' system too and had developed Lance Parrish as a catcher. But it should have been Leyland. That really, really disappointed me. And then Moss gets booted out after less than half a season for Sparky Anderson who, with that incredibly loaded team from 1983 to 1987, gets to exactly 1 World Series. It should have been Jim Leyland.
  6. I didn't know that you are Canadian. I up until last month I just had an antenna on my roof, but was a Bell customer for home phone, mobile, and internet. Adding the Bell Fibe TV resulted in the home phone price almost disappearing, so my monthly charge is almost the same, with or without TV. Bell are a bunch of f*cking thieves, they have lots of good deals but they won't tell you if you don't ask, which I always forget.
  7. It will be on TSN or Sportsnet I think. Where are you in Canada?
  8. Safe at second, all the way
  9. Well, now after that bunt, we are in a tight spot
  10. I would have kept Rose out of the Hall just for his haircut. It reminds me of something else for which I have always wanted to hear an explanation...the are 1.8 million Americans in prison, but Ken Burns' barber is not among them.
  11. I'm thinking 12-to-1 against this lawsuit succeeding.
  12. Brieske I apologize for giving up on you 3 years ago.
  13. Rob, your wife and your son are pure magic. You are so blessed.
  14. Hey McCosky, just f off and write articles about Harold and Willi and Grossman.
  15. This is all so cool.
  16. Noted, and he had a nice moment with Jason Bennetti
  17. Those good teams from the previous decade, they were fun to watch especially JD and Miggy, but I never really got emotionally invested in them. It was different from 68 and 84, the cores of those teams were guys who had played in the Tigers' minor league system. This team feels more like 68 and 84, so many of the key players spent time at Erie and Toledo. I guess there is one key difference, the 68 and 84 teams had homegrown players who were already big stars, and on this team you would say "not yet but fingers crossed for a few of them".
  18. I miss Stan Papi...not.
  19. Et voila!
