  1. I worked at a radio station where the new owners were talked into buying an automation system that consisted of the C64 and a couple of the cassette drives (for commercials primarily) I could never get the damn thing to work the way it was "supposed" to.
  2. Now they’re just making up the rules as they go. These are not serious people. Not even qualified to pick up trash along the road
  3. So if they “fixed” it never really happened, right
  4. It's not Putin holding Evan Gershkovich hostage, it's Donald Trump. Give the felon what he wants or he'll blow it all up
  5. Unfortunately our HOA is toothless, but I will email them
  6. So the house on the corner is breaking the law by flying the distress flag. Should I notify authorities that they seem to be in trouble or let them flounder? This is the house that had a big Trump sign on her car in 2020, (I'm not sure his job permits political stickers or signs) and Youngkin in 2021.
  7. Basically in the same boat along with the fact that one of my meds does not play well with carbonated drinks. Outside of an occasional Petite Verdot or a glass of beer at the local brewery, I'm down to plain old water. Coffee is next on my list of drinks to go.
  8. You haven't spent much time south of the Mason/Dixon line lately.
  9. Any statue of Pujols would have to include the Weather Channel logo
  10. This should have been the biggest political news of the day..... It's not surprising, however...
  11. Another conspiracy site gets dinged big time
  12. And the folks who currently have beachfront property will be under water. Just like Trump likely is financially
  13. I've never voted GOP for President. I liked John Anderson in 1980, but didn't vote since we were in the process of moving and absentee ballot was a bit too difficult then. I did vote for Snyder both times he ran for governor. TBH I wasn't familiar with Bernero. In 2014 what I saw of Schauer did not impress me at all. He was also a major jerk in the negotiations leading up to the debate (they had at Wayne State (and immediately afterward) that I couldn't even bring myself to consider him a serious candidate.
  14. And was hit in the head a bit too often
  15. She probably made more money finishing second than the guy who won it that year. Has anyone heard from What's His Face recently?
  16. The fact that he's pulling all those strings while in the depths of senility is absolutely amazing.
  17. Even if there was film of him shooting people on Times Square on New Years Eve there is a significant group that would say there's not enough evidence to charge him
  18. JVL this morning https://www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-is-a-convicted-felon-but-the?utm_source=substack&publication_id=87281&post_id=145162353&utm_medium=email&utm_content=share&utm_campaign=email-share&triggerShare=true&isFreemail=false&r=45wcm&triedRedirect=true
  19. Sometime between the election and Day One if he is elected
  20. James Madison is rolling in his grave
  21. Currently on my nightstand. The Demon of Unrest by Eric Lawson. I'm still in the early portion of the book (just after the 1860 Presidential Election) but this is as good as Devil in the White City and In the Garden of Beasts. The time between the election and the shelling of Fort Sumpter. From the forward. "I was well into my research on the saga of Fort Sumter and the advent of the American Civil War when the events of January 6, 2021 took place. As I watched the Capitol assault unfold on camera, I had the Erie feeling that present and past had merged. It is unsettling that in 1861 two of the greatest moments of national dread centered on the certification of the Electoral College vote and the presidential inauguration"
