You take a chance, LA may have been the best deal, it's a contender. If that fails you go to plan B. It's like selling a house. You take the best offer, but occasionally the buyer pulls out for some reason..you move on. I assume Harris has been keeping the agents in the loop.

The fellow who ran it, actually his wife did it, was associated with the Michigan State Extension Service. He spent a bit of time commuting between East Lansing and the UP

Outside of my local NPR station I haven't listened to anything relatively new since the mid 80s. Stuck too long in the corporate Beautiful Music, Lite Rock before the (It was my job) I'm basically one of those Boomers who think good music ended with Rap and auto tune. Now that I no longer spend time in the automobile I've been exploring more.

Now that DeSantis seems to be DOA there is a part of me that wishes the other pretenders just step aside and allow either Christie or Hurd to go head to head against Trump. Baltimore is only about three hours from Richmond. Good airports to get to NY, LA and such. The seafood isn't bad either.

I haven't been to Harbor Park yet, it's been a busy summer and I haven't wanted to brave tourist traffic and the tunnel. 😉 The park is over 20 years old and a vast improvement still (from what I've seen from the outside) over the old place near the airport (There's an IKEA there now. This Spring we stayed at the Aloft hotel next to the park in Durham before my 6 month checkup at Duke. Will be back in September right after the season ends. Our visits to relatives in the area just haven't coincided with home stands. I was the Salem park several years ago, it's was nice then, I hope it held up. Spent many a summers evening in the early 70s at the old park that doubled as a high school football field. By the way, if you're looking for interesting ballparks, check out Deltaville, Va. One of the last wooden parks left. There's a small "town league" in the region and they play some games there. We drove by it a couple of weeks ago, but it was about 4 hours before game time. After what Youngkin did in Virginia in '21, I'm not taking anything for granted. Trumpkin isn't DJT and maybe closer to DeSantis in philosophy, but he was still a wolf in sheepskin vest.
