  1. It definitely has the feel of an AI Bot
  2. This could be better than the new season of Succession.
  3. I also suggested that maybe sign Taylor Heineke, who was a starter for Washington. Or is that out because he might offer competition?
  4. Read my entire post.
  5. Not a fan of drafting a QB in the first round, however what is wrong with a little competition. Who is currently #2 on the Lions QB depth chart? Would be signing a guy like Heinicke who was quite serviceable for Washington for a large part of last season be considered a threat? Especially since TH was quite popular with the players. Or another one of the guys who may be displaced after the postseason round of QB roulette. I'd rather have a backup in place heading into training camp than to scramble at all the picked over leftovers. But then I come from the era out Jurgensen and Kilmer.....Staubach and Morton to name a couple. I expect Goff to have more stones than wanting to be traded.
  6. Just another Wednesday along Woodward Ave, or Orchard Lake Rd
  7. Very easy to ignore the thread. Don't click on it
  8. I thought the story said just outside Athens. I've never been there, but looking at Google Earth I see a few roads where drag racing could happen
  9. I'd be ok with that. The Founders didn't really want parties anyway (until Jefferson and Adams changed their minds). Do an open ballot all run as independents. The California Firehouse contests seem like fun to me. Make the races ranked choice. It can't be any worse than what we have. One more thing. Tax campaign contributions at 50%. Free speech has never been free anyway.
  10. It was that damn octopus throw
  11. Oh Nos! Biden and his wife ordered the same meal at a restaurant. Invoke the 25th Amendment
  12. I still would like to know who paid of Kavanaugh's mortgages and such...
  13. Who's going to expel the illegal alien from Brazil still holing himself up in the Peoples Republic of Florida?
  14. Interesting piece in Axios regarding East Palestine. It seems the hamlet is a magnet for train derailments https://www.axios.com/2023/03/01/east-palestine-derailment-history-norfolksouthern?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_axioslocal_detroit&stream=top
  15. It's more like Porter Wagoner, without Dolly
  16. I prefer to call them the Banana Republic Party
  17. Or maybe DeSantis and Abbott could just bus them to where they're needed....
  18. And the Bobby Layne Curse will be banished forever and ever, amen
  19. Since the owner of the Cubs just donated to DeSantis' PAC this probably belongs here I really have no desire to be like Florida and it's current dictatorship
  20. Just me spitballing but if you viewership depends on catering to the fringe maybe it's time to rethink your strategy. Fox News was credible when they first came on the air, but something happened around 2008, or possibly a bit before. With the rise of the Tea Party and the election of Obama they went from "Fair and Balanced" to "Unhinged and Deranged"
  21. Illitch and company have been keeping us in the dark for years. We're basically mushrooms
  22. Rafael is mad as hell and won't take it any more (unless Republicans do it)
  23. Back in the days of Cronkite and Brinkley the networks news divisions were never considered to be profit centers. Then the bean counters and "consultants" took the place of folks who truly believed in good journalism. Radio stations who switched to talk from music had shows that presented both sides of the issues. But Carter, Reagan and Clinton along with congress killed that so all that's left is the same 30 rehashed songs on the FM and right wing propaganda on the AM. Cable gives "reality" program and occasionally sports if we're luck....and we pray to the neon gods
