It's been ages since I've flown thru Dallas and hope to never do it again. A couple of bad experiences. 1) An evening flight to Los Angeles, connecting from DFW to Burbank. The flight was late, they changed gates three times. This was also early on in the screening process when they also checked you at the gate. I had been up since 3 AM and it was going on 10 PM Central time. I was the "lucky one" chosen for a pat down. I bit my tongue, but really wanted to strip down to my underwear. We also has an American Airlines flight from Phoenix with a connection in Dallas. One of the longest tram rides I've ever taken as we had less than 20 minutes to make the connection. Just made it as the doors were closing (they were paging us). Throw in a couple of times when we flew in around Christmas and wished we had brought our own rock salt....

I saw that. Between Amish and Joe Walsh (the former Congress Critter and talk show host), two Republicans I never thought I'd follow. That's how bad the party is.

But it's the drag queens that are "grooming" our kids....

That seems to be the biggest problem with DTW as well. Shuttle bus to rental cars adds at least a half hour to your trip both ways. That was probably the biggest complaint I would get as an Ambassador (volunteer) at the airport. The two terminal system also confused a few folks as well. (Of course it didn't help if you had no clue what airline your cousin was flying in on or what city they were coming from...)

The grift is strong with these guys....

That was always my issue with HULU....they would cut to commercial in the middle of a scene. I realize everything is run by automation but there has to be a way to imbed a tone or signal other than doing it on what seems like a timing basis. If the service looks that crappy they don't get my money (or eyeballs)

We had the opportunity to see a shuttle launch several years ago. (A bit of research , it was Columbia in 2002. The last flight before the disaster in 2003) It was a dawn launch and we were in a viewing area several miles away. It was pretty cool. We're close enough to possibly see launches out of Wallops Island if conditions are right. I saw a night time launch about a year ago. It was carrying a new toilet to the space station. I did luck into seeing a SpaceX test launch from Florida the end of September. Looked up while I was taking. the dog out to see it streaking across the sky.

UVa has cancelled this weekend's game against Coastal Carolina. Next weekends Va Tech game may also be in jeopardy. Given the combined records of the two teams it might be a good thing.
