  1. Maybe we should test that theory on a couple of Faux News commentators to find their sources, Or even a couple of former White House aids...

  9. You probably have to go back to the '70s. Baltimore had 4 20 game winners in 1971. Palmer, Cueller, McNally, and Dobson. They still lost to Pittsburgh in the series. The 1966 Dodgers had Koufax, Drysdale, Osteen and Sutton...and lost to Baltimore in the series. 1972 A's featured Hunter, Holtzman, Blue Moon Odom and Vida Blue....
  10. The headline of the day, so far https://www.local3news.com/cops-wife-stabbed-husband-with-ceramic-squirrel/article_0d1f96bf-2870-56fd-bacf-60d2db5cdd72.html?fbclid=IwAR2ryH_0N5YaMqAGHLKOfOCdzC6eIlmcBN3zZZGs-HK_S6NK3eJywYFkxSk
  11. I think a lot of these places didn't have decent educational programs until relatively recently. You can visit places like Arlington and a lot of the battlefields and get a better understanding of the battles and politics than say 20 years ago. I've become fascinated with the intersections of many members of the "first families". If you look at Arlington for example the line runs thru the Custis family, probably one of the richest landowner in the Commonwealth, to George Washington (actually his wife who was married to a Custis) to the Lee's.
  12. The Union took over the house and property during the war. Lee never returned. his wife only visited it once. Lee's son George Washington Custis Lee, sued to get the property back and won on appeal to the Supreme Court who found that the property had been "illegally confiscated" He then settled with the government for about $4.5 million in today's money.
  13. I just heard a report that viable candidates need a minimum of 100 nomination votes from party leaders.
  14. But Prop 3 is just so confusing. At least thats what the yard signs (that are mostly littering places other than yards) keep telling me in Commerce and Wixom.
