Finally got an "honest" answer from one of those "police benevolence " organizations. I stopped him in the middle of his spiel and asked how much $$ police officers actually saw from his organization. The answer 12% after "expenses" I politely told him I'd support the blue by giving directly to my local police dept. edit While I probably can't make direct donations, things like giving to their annual food drives, Christmas charities, etc still work better than giving to some private "non profit" coffers.

I would be in favor of bringing back indentured servitude for guys like Jones and his ilk. And by ilk I mean the Trump Crime Family

We had no problem with them in the past. The thing that really irked me that we were told there was one in the warehouse. Prior to that they said that there was a 12 month lag because of supplies. The fact nobody called us and no one contacted us about problems/delays until we inquired really irked me.

The poor customer service person got an earful after the Christmas delay. Especially since I had arranged to have the old couch removed. Lazy Boy is no longer on my shopping list.

We went through something similar about a year ago. We bought a new couch from Lazy Boy, This was back in Mid October. Was told when we made the initial payment they had 1 in stock and at the warehouse. I even joked about driving to Monroe myself to pick it up. The hope was to have it by Thanksgiving (last year). No word at all from the store or company for about 3 weeks, so I called. Was told it would be sometime before mid December. I was at about DEFCON 4 but kept my temper. Christmas comes, no word. Another phone call. It was due to be MANUFACTURED in late January. What about the one in stock, sorry about that, can't give me a discount, contract states no refunds... The couch finally show up in mid March.

I was out with the dog one night last week. Saw this object across the sky, it was the SpaceX Starlink watch. It was very visible along the east coast, especially with it's tail (that's what caught my eye). Very cool
