  1. I am starting to see a few businesses set up charging stations for customers. Not just 2 or 3 stations but in some cases a portion of their parking lot. I know DTW has had a couple of spaces in both garages for several years. I'm not sure what their policy is/was for long term usage. But I can see some sort of arrangement with grocery chains, restaurants, etc. even if it's a for pay charging spot. Much like the hourly parking rates/apps
  2. I'll throw this here. The proposal in Va for stations located mostly along interstates. https://www.virginiamercury.com/2022/09/21/what-virginia-wants-to-do-with-100-million-in-electric-vehicle-charging-money/ I figure we're still a few years away from being fully vested in buying into electric vehicles. I am interested to see how the experiments in SE Michigan with "electric" roads. Stretches of highway or city streets that will charge your vehicle. I think Ford is developing a project near the old train station and Michigan has entered into agreement with a firm doing something similar. Here's the AXIO's story https://www.axios.com/newsletters/axios-detroit-a7a460fe-3527-4ecd-ba59-3a5b44b3f32f.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_axioslocal_detroit&stream=top
  3. Another book.... https://www.axios.com/2022/09/27/denver-riggleman-mark-meadows-text-messages?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_axiossneakpeek&stream=top They all need to be brought up on conspiracy charges.
  4. Those of us a bit older prefer 634-5789
  5. Erie takes the first game of the AA Final against Somerset. One win away from a championship https://www.milb.com/gameday/patriots-vs-seawolves/2022/09/24/713768#game_state=final,lock_state=final,game_tab=box,game=713768
  6. A quick google check shows there are still a few assumable loan programs out there. Primarily FHA or VA type loans. The down payment would probably have to be prohibitive these days, assuming the seller would want close to whatever equity they've put into the home.
  7. Maybe bring back a 21st century version of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Possibly add some sort of program like teach for America or something like that. Make it part of requirement to get some sort of relief on tuition debt.
  8. That was the Divisional series. Championship series starts Sunday
  9. It's probably more humane than what I've heard about in rural areas around here with hunting dogs that won't hunt. There's a lot of dumpimg going on
  10. I think my parents had one when they were house hunting in the late 60s. Or at least I knew they were looking for something similar concerning perceived credit issues. They figured buying might be a bit easier than trying to rent to a family with six kids. I do know the mortgage for the house in 1968 was somewhere near $12,000 with the monthly payment around $125 a month. Cheaper than my apartments in the '70s
  11. Erie wins 9-3. They'll play in Richmond Thursday
  12. Serrerri with a 3 run homer 6-1 Erie bottom of the fifth.
  13. Olsen done after 5. 1 run 10K's a nice play to end the inning on a slow roller to the right of the mound. Erie up 2-1 going into the bottom of the 5th. Harris went 3 for Richmond.
  14. Tied at 1 bottom of the 3rd...
  15. It's a free game on MiLB.com
  16. Someone explain this reasoning to me like a third grader, or Republican...
  17. Sorry, but I spent most of the day parked down by the lake. In my case it was actually a river.
  18. Rather than a new thread I'll dump this here. Remember the podcast a few years back...
  19. Both Dombrowski and Avilia held duel titles of PBO and GM. I would assume final decision on GM will be up to Harris. He has a nice pedigree even if the Giants took a couple of steps back this season.
  20. Think someone should tell him
  21. I'm still sticking with 6 wins for the season.
  22. I take it back to the Earl Weaver years. They were darlings of the AL during the Yankees and Red Sox down period. Great pitching staffs. When the All Star game was in Detroit several years ago I was sitting on a bench just outside the media festivities waiting on my wife to return from the restroom. A little guy came and sat near me. He looked familiar. He left just as my wife showed up. It wasn't until he walked away that I realized who it was. Probably I good thing since I was a Pirate fan in the 60s and 70s.
