  1. It may take a while for the beagles to become available. They are trying to adapt them to living somewhere other than a cage. Keep an eye on area and statewide beagle adoption sites. Also Petfinder seems to be a good place to start as well. When we were first looking for a dog, the biggest obstacle we had with a lot of the rescue groups was not having a fenced yard. HOA rules forbid them. Not sure how it is now.
  2. And he fits right in with today's white nationalist GOP
  3. Interesting Pa poll, especially if it's anywhere close to accurate and can hold. Fetterman with a 17 point lead. Polling well with 20% of Republican voters and 17% Trump voters. There is no way the Lizard of Oz can overcome this if it stays true in November. https://centerstreetpac.com/poll-fetterman-leads-dr-oz-in-pennsylvania/?r=45wcm&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email
  4. What people really want to know is whether his hair is real or not. My wife has had a few meetings with him or where he has attended. He always looks like he might be high on something. That said, I would still vote for him over my current insurrection supporting/election denying congress critter. The guy keeps touting how his office helps folks in getting passports and $$$ for the shipyard. I expect much more.
  5. Only guilty people seek immunity
  6. But their emails and texts Lock ‘em up
  7. Something no family should have to endure...thoughts to families involved...
  8. If an election denier wins an election is it truly a legitimate victory?
  9. I want him reduced to working as an assistant manager at a Hardees in some backwater town....
  10. Just one more note on the whole Meijer/Gibbs/Democrat thing. Meijer was censured by his own party for voting for impeachment. The party chairman jokingly(?) called for his assignation. How many mainline "Republicans" came to his district to campaign for him. The ads he Democrats ran told it like it is about his opponent, that he was backed by Trump, lied about the 2020 election, etc. How exactly did the ads hurt Meijer?
  11. A bit more context...
  12. You get the lawyer you pay for....
  13. Another argument for ranked choice voting. Knock off the lowest vote getter in every round until you reach a 50+% majority.
  14. Per Tim Miller in today's Bullwerk. Pro Impeachment Republicans Jaime Herrera Beutler and Dan Newhouse survived Washington state's Jungle Primary.California's David Valadao also advanced in a similar system. They are probably the only Pro Impeachment Republicans to survive.
  15. Whatever floats your boat. It's a free country, for now. The founders were not fond of party labels, until TJ and A-Ham screwed things up.
  16. This is another argument in favor of ranked choice voting. No party labels, especially in a state where voters don't have to officially register their party preference. (Even though past voting habits does get you on call and mailing lists) Rank you voting preference first to worst. Top two vote getters face off in the general. It levels the playing field somewhat. Every voting system can be gamed to a certain extent.
  17. Stevens is strong in the west side of the district...F Hills, Plymouth, Canton, etc...
