  1. Per Tim Miller in today's Bullwerk. Pro Impeachment Republicans Jaime Herrera Beutler and Dan Newhouse survived Washington state's Jungle Primary.California's David Valadao also advanced in a similar system. They are probably the only Pro Impeachment Republicans to survive.
  2. Whatever floats your boat. It's a free country, for now. The founders were not fond of party labels, until TJ and A-Ham screwed things up.
  3. This is another argument in favor of ranked choice voting. No party labels, especially in a state where voters don't have to officially register their party preference. (Even though past voting habits does get you on call and mailing lists) Rank you voting preference first to worst. Top two vote getters face off in the general. It levels the playing field somewhat. Every voting system can be gamed to a certain extent.
  4. Stevens is strong in the west side of the district...F Hills, Plymouth, Canton, etc...

  6. Which should hold true until 1.2023.... Wasn't this a GOP idea until it wasn't? https://www.politico.com/news/2020/08/19/republicans-mail-in-voting-trump-398774
  7. Maybe the others were just playing possum...
  8. It's two lanes thru here now, with talk about widening it in the not too distant future. The biggest problem, I think, is the combination of truck traffic, regular commuters, and throw in tourists. So you've got a lot of folks really not familiar with the area trying to figure out where to go combined with long haul regulars, military, and the regular retirees who live here.
  9. You've flown thru Dallas too? Or if you're at DTW you land at A72 and your connecting gate is C1
  10. There is a minimum/medium security prison in Miami that hosted Manuel Noriega for a while. In reality he's never going to go and the best we might hope for is something similar to house arrest. Even if he is tried and convicted the appeals process would take years. Is there a secluded place on Mar-A-Lago where then can convert a storage shed or something. And ban him from the main building and golf course?
  11. I get all that. My biggest complaint is when there is no congestion, and the folks coming on to the expressway insist on doing 45 until the merge lane ends. They have enough time to enter the highway if they would just accelerate to the proper speed. Otherwise the car in the right lane is usually forced to slow to let them in at the end of the lane. Especially when the left lane is occupied. Hopefully that makes sense
  12. Brandon is having a good run

  15. quick google search https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/pdf/pubs/sales/anj22.pdf I guess technically you can declare the golf course cemetery property. Not sure if it would stand up in court. if one was litigious enough, you could keep it tied up for several years....
