  1. Just so many things wrong with this ad from dressing up like a Navy pilot (he was a navy lawyer, the only thing he ever flew was a desk0 to dissing his state's largest source of revenue.
  2. Quite familiar with Boones Mill. It's a notorious speed trap. Also gateway to the illegal moonshine trade of SW VA
  3. We were among the folks who were unable to watch because the Amazon Fire App crashed right after the previews https://ew.com/tv/hbo-app-crashing-house-of-the-dragon-premiere-amazon-fire-tv/ We'll catch it later this week. Meanwhile, back to Bosch
  4. Somebody's got to clean up that bad air from China. just sayin...
  5. After bilking investors out of more than $700 mil with WeWork...guess who's back ready to do it again? https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/15/tech/adam-neumann-flow/index.html
  6. Can we work a trade? I've been down on Rodman ever since a billboard with his likeness tied up traffic in Chicago.
  7. My wife found these in the local grocery. The instructions say each box makes two servings, I've managed to stretch it into 4 for a 25 pound pug/beagle mix. I add it to her kibble with some water https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/products/bone-broth-pour-overs-beef-stew
  8. Lock ‘‘em all up. Every single one of them in cages along the southern border
  9. Val needs to do this multiple times a day. Rubio has already proven he can’t stand the pressure
  10. From JVL today....
  11. The President's Own? Great gig, it's been a while since I've been to a band concert in Northern Va. They do quite a bit of touring, I know. They're recordings are fantastic. We have several bases near us. The Air Force has a combined military band that usually performs in Williamsburg on special occasions.
  12. It's great to see band programs getting recognition as opposed to being an after thought in many school systems. It's a skill that can continue until much later in life. One of the things I miss about not living in Michigan is the the lack of community bands here. The closest one is about 40 minutes away. Part of the reason is population density I think, but I think the culture in SE Michigan is a bit different. Lots of grads from U of M and Mich State are still playing into their mid to late 70s (or later). It's a bit more transient here. When we were back in Michigan recently my grandson indicated he was interested in playing in the school's band (he's in fifth grade). He wants to play sax. I told him if he makes the first cut I'll give him one of mine.
  13. Welcome to the life of endless festivals. Never liked marching band then, it's different as a spectator. Love concert season. Lots of great new music out there.
  14. I have no clue about this guy...
  15. For those keeping track. The stupid excuse of the day.
  16. We had one briefly when I was young. Nothing like being dragged along on a walk when you were 6. Unfortunately we had to let him go, we lived on a nursery farm at the time. She was just too rambunctious to be around small kids and customers. This was long before current training was prevelent. We've had a couple puggles in recent years, just love the puppy "crazies"
  17. One member of the GQP has already done that at the 2020 GQP Trump Coronation https://19thnews.org/2020/08/on-eve-of-suffrage-centennial-milestone-rnc-to-feature-speaker-supporting-policies-barring-women-from-voting/
  18. I'm not sure the Trump stole my soul is a winnable defense for Rudy....
  19. They are also some of the biggest A-H drivers in the state.
