For the guy who supports freedom, fair elections and the protection of the Constitution....
-
He'll still vote party line....

And free elections as long as Trumpublicans can determine who votes and "correct" the outcomes.

I was just thinking that this weekend. Locally Colonial Williamsburg has been making great strides in recent years in portraying the role of slaves in the founding of the country as well as what the slaves and former slaves had to endure. A big difference from what we learned in school in the 50s and '60s.( That era wasn't as great as MAGA's would like us believe) Hopefully Jamestown will start telling the true story of Pocahontas and the local tribes as opposed to the Disneyfied version.

If I recall it took Mr I a few years before he caught on. Of course he had to dig out of the rubble left my Mr Domino's "pizza". Mike had the passion just wasn't up on the working knowledge of an MLB team. He relied on Jerry Reinsdorf for a while on the political ins and outs. I think it was Bud Selig that helped with the hiring of John McHale Jr who brought in Randy Smith before Mr I decided on Dave Dombrowski a few years later. Basically Mr I had the Tigers wandering thru the wilderness for about 10 years before they got their act somewhat together. Unfortunately MLB's current leadership is no help to the teams who may be struggling, other than making stupid rule changes and gimmicks. Chris may be a decent caretaker, he lacks the passion. And yes it's time to move on from AA. Move him upstairs make him an executive vp or something.

Sitting here remembering the slogan in the 70s and early '80s from the Powerful Voice of Virginia "Where the South Begins"

Looking forward to the 2023 debates between Trump and Pence. Yes, I know the guy from Florida is probably favored, but watch out for the failed former CEO from Virginia.

Interesting. Democrats controlled both houses of Congress (with a couple of exceptions) in the '40s, 50s, and '60s when someone said we were safe, Republicans took over mostly in the '90s. Something conservative propaganda doesn't tell us about the good ole days. Keep in mind however most southern Democrats became Republicans in the mid 70s and 80s.... https://history.house.gov/Institution/Presidents-Coinciding/Party-Government/

Things didn't get bad until guys like Rush Limbaugh and his counterparts on AM radio and propaganda arms of the Republican Party started telling us that Democrats are the tool of the Devil and White Christian Republicans are God's chosen people.

I'm old enough to remember when a Conservative Gov of California pushed for gun control regulations after a few African Americans showed up on the grounds of the state capitol. You might want to look him up, guys name was Reagan. I also remember when the NRA stood for gun education and safety until a conservative lobbyist named LaPierre coopted the organization and paid a guy who was famous for mostly B movies (Moses was a bit part) to make an appearance promoting guns for everyone. The NRA and other manufacturers lobbies are more responsible than whatever "liberal Democrat" policies that I can think of. Hell we even had shoot em up westerns back in the 50s and 60s.... The current weapons of choice were not around in the 1950s and 60s. We had mostly hunting rifles and shotguns. The most popular rifle was a .22 or 30/06. Nothing that was capable of firing the number of rounds or as rapid as today's arsenal.

There was more fire power at the school than defenders of the Alamo

So that's one instance in how many similar events. The Tigers have a better record of wins.

Probably paid someone to take it for him or his crazy doctor gave him the answers in advance.

Newspapers much like much of smaller market broadcasting is now owned by venture capitalist groups. You'll normally find a small handful of employees available to cover stories that they used to cover 10, 20, 30 years ago. Usually one person who has to juggle city hall, school boards, courts, etc. The same happened beginning 30 years or so ago with local broadcast media. It's all part of the dumbing of America. Everything has become a McDonalds or Starbucks.

If convicted he should be turned into an eunuch and made to share a cell with a very large “friend” for several years.
