  1. Need to sacrifice a chicken
  2. I bet you'd be a real hoot in an APBA draft league
  3. So Oklahoma has just passed a law on banning abortion at the moment of fertilization (Does a bell go off or something? Do you hear choirs of angels singing the Hallelujah Chorus?) Once again to penalties for the fertilizer. He should at least be charged with being an accessory.
  4. It's not like we're talking insulin or some of the experimental cancer and other drugs. That said I assume there are sources of financial aid for some of these drugs, but for those who earn enough $$ to not qualify for help the prices can be devistating.
  5. Maybe if he lost the huge stomach....
  6. I have come to the conclusion that the great replacement theory is all relatively sane people are being replaced by blathering idiots. I blame cell phones
  7. Michigan Qpublicans really hate strong women.
  8. They'll take it on step farther. If the Insurrectionist wins the governorship in Pa (and other states) the GQOP controlled legislature will pass laws that will automatically allow the legislature to choose a slate of electors in 2024
  9. “Never heard of him. Definitely didn’t endorse this loser”
  10. You've got a point to a certain extent but in a lot of mid size cities the downfall started back in the 1960s. Cities that once had thriving downtowns saw a lot of their traffic move to the suburbs with the advent of shopping malls. Throw the rise and merger of many of the department and speciality stores that dominated the areas, along with loss of major industries. While many cities have tried various solutions nothing seems to stick. I think it goes beyond religion as local churches look like they are aging out..giving way to Mega Churches. Which to me promotes the loss to the feeling of community in favor of corporatism. (I realize I'm broad brushing here)
  11. I accompanied my wife to a conference there 3 years ago. I managed to avoid the main drag most of the week. Even during the day a lot of the bars and restaurants blared deafening music. I just read recently that Ernest Tubb's is closing. I did enjoy the CMA Museum, and caught a concert at the old Ryman. One little place a couple blocks off the main drag called The Listening Room was my favorite spot. It's an entertainment venue with smaller acts. The night I went they were showcasing a couple of the record labels' song writers. Away from the tourist area, the city seems very viable. Lots of companies still have offices there and there seemed to be a fair bit of construction.
  12. That's probably what the plan is. It's probably also the holdup in getting a final tally. I was just riffing on the QPublican line in 2020 that the results should be in by the end of Election Day. All the gyrations of the final tabs in the QGOP Senate race does seem a it fishy however.
  13. I’m not sure how it’s done in Pa, but usually the party runs the primary. Granted they’re volunteers. But if Party bigwigs can trash election workers during the general, the same applies to primaries imho
  14. I think he’s a regular contributor on the MLB Network. I’m sure those guys are working with him on his skills as well.
  15. This is a somewhat updated list from HOF https://baseballhall.org/news/class-of-2019-features-three-first-round-draft-picks
  16. Put me in the pro Alex A camp. He and Dan have been outstanding.
  17. More evidence the Pa GQOP Sen race is rigged... These guys can't even run a simple state primary, let alone a state or nation..
  18. Wait a sec, I thought the former guy who lost said election results should be known election night. I smell hankey pankey in the GQOP primary. It's rigged I tell you, It's rigged....
  19. This parody account is dead n...
  20. Especially since the Pa Senate results seem to hang on mail in ballots.
  21. That's basically what happened in Pittsburgh with the Prince/Woods team. The Pirates wanted more sponsor related stuff in the booth. The also offered Woods a very small raise which he turned down. I was 12 when we left Western Pa, but I remember listening to the game on Saturday or Sunday afternoon while throwing a rubber ball against the brick wall of my grandparents house.
  22. How come no one ever wrote a song about a dead possum in the middle of the road?
  23. The last time I heard baseball and possum tied together was way back in the Bob Prince PBP days with Pittsburgh. He was the second guy in the booth, nicknamed Possum. The nickname supposedly came from Enos Slaughter who said he saw better heads on a possum. edit He also worked with Mel Allen, Red Barber and Ned Martin during his career... https://sabr.org/bioproj/person/jim-woods-2/
  24. I'm actually rooting for this. Would rather see a Jet Blue takeover than a Frontier/Spirit mess... https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/16/jetblue-launches-hostile-takeover-bid-for-spirit-airlines.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_axioscloser&stream=top
