  1. How far up the line do the perpetrators go. See Mark Meadows and Trumplican Texts and emails. They are just as guilty IMO, as the folks who stormed the capitol. Do you include Rudy's press conferences? ETC. Especially after every court challenge failed miserably.
  2. You realize Abbot stopped the inspections after yielding nothing, nada, zero illegal drugs or people sneaking over the boarder in the back of trucks. Meanwile the stoppage rang up $millions in transportation costs, slowed shipments of food, auto parts, etc that will be passed along to consumers. But it's all Biden's fault Try harder
  3. I guess so. No playing croquet on the golf course. To bad his caddy didn't inform him. But then I'm sure there would be a "ball stuck in tree rule"
  4. We need to bring back debtor prisons and work houses to stop these deadbeats.
  5. Circumvented by some obscure rule...
  6. Making American Great Again....
  7. But then again more action, more bets. With folks watching games with devices in hands bets can be made almost instantly
  8. Just another expensive Trumpublican stunt But let's blame Bden and the Democrats for inflation.... https://www.texastribune.org/2022/04/15/texas-border-abbott-vehicle-inspections/ https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/16/economy/texas-mexico-abbott-border-economic-impact/
  9. Thanks for the info, and the correction on the draw the Squirrels have in the region. I really need to see a game or three this summer. The team would be an easier reach than having to fight the HRBT from James City County. We spend enough time doing business in Mechanicsville and Short Pump anyway. While doing a bit more research it looks like they are looking to locate it adjacent to the current park along with some VCU sports related facilities. Hopefully it will work out since it looks like they're being stiffed by the WFT after spending money on a summer training facility. The area has changed quit a bit since we left 30 years ago. I really need to get out to a game or three this summer
  10. Was just reading in the Richmond paper that the Flying Squirrels ballpark is on the warning list. They are currently the Double A franchise for San Francisco. The current configuration opened in 1985 and I'm assuming they haven't done much in the way of upgrades outside replacing the roof on the grandstands in 2004after Hurricane Isabel. The park also serves VCU baseball. A lot of today's story focused on the lack of food options and 20 minute plus waits for hot dog (opening day) The city has been screwing around wit plans for a new facility for some time now, either at its current location or one closer to the restaurant district. Hopefully this will light a fire. There is also a wish that the General Assembly will add some funds for the facility while they are giving a sweet heart deal to the Commanders. Maybe it would also draw a more appealing team than one based on the West Coast.
  11. I'm fairly positive they got to know Willis and Howell during their time coaching the Senior Bowl.
  12. I've lived in Virginia, Illinois, and Michigan since I began voting in Federal elections in 1972. 2004 2016 and 2020 were probably the only elections where I felt my vote mattered. If I squint hard enough I can count 2008 and 2012 as well.
  13. Just curious about what happened with his Chicago Tunnel project. It's not on the Boring Company website of projects. It came to mind since we just observed the 30th anniversary of the Great Chicago Flood
  14. The EC was a compromise between large states and small states. Now if we decide to go back to when only wealthy land owing white males are eligible to vote I'd be willing to discuss the issue further. IMO it became obsolete when the states started using popular vote to decide federal elections.
  15. I remember that discussion shortly after the stadium open. That was on John McHale for not paying attention when Tigers brass signed off. One of his many follies. They did some changes in the 2010 (?) upgrade of Comerica. The defects aren't as glaring now. (edit) among the changes they raised the scoreboard 16 feet...
  16. Nobody wants to work anymore....
  17. Has the former guy who lost Chief of Staff been charged yet? How about the guy's wife?
  18. Scaley Mountain NC??? Maybe they should have at least looked at Franklin
  19. I nominate Wall Lake. Or at least 2 years ago it seemed to be the pot capitol of SE Michigan. And the one with the biggest A-Hole pot store owner.
  20. Party of Trump democracy at work....
