  3. One could now assume none of these folks, some party officials, should not be elected to office. Because Democrats are hate mongers or something or other https://www.politico.com/news/2025/10/14/private-chat-among-young-gop-club-members-00592146?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR6o72SS1d0Sxp1BNPbUOKgBi-Hx1PwljkX6Q4AZwPy61ThB_Jj_tNCMq62Z6A_aem_iuc5_9p0tzOyQZuFRcWOOQ

  5. On October 14, 1909 — 1909 – George Mullin of the Detroit Tigers outlasts three Pittsburgh Pirates pitchers for a 5 – 4 victory that sends the World Series to a seventh game in Detroit. This is the first World Series to go the limit. On October 14, 1984 — With the Tigers leading 5-4 in the eighth inning of Game 5 of the World Series, Kirk Gibson hits his second home run of the game, a three-run blast to the upper deck in right field, putting the game out of reach to give the Motor City its fourth World Championship in franchise history. Padres manager **** Williams had ordered his pitcher to intentionally walk the Detroit right fielder, but Goose Gossage, after ignoring the walk sign at first, convinces his skipper he can get the slugger out, only to be proven wrong two pitches later. Sparky Anderson becomes the first manager to win World Championships in both leagues.

  8. We went to a couple of games 20 plus years ago when the stadium first opened. Loved it when the roof was open, but it did not feel claustrophobic with it closed. My son was in school at the time, we had a good time.
  9. Nothing like working for a company for 10 years only to have them misspell my last name on the 10 year recognition plaque. I left the company a few months later for a different reason. When a VP asked why I left when I asked for a non compete waver I almost told them that because after 10 years you couldn't get my name right.
  10. October 13 https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/october-13 Happy Birthday Paul Simon
  11. I just got an email about Banana Ball in Richmond next Spring. Same deal, join a lottery for tickets. I didn’t check prices, but assume it would be in the same range.
  12. I gave Skubal a 6 year $25 million plus contract beginning in 2026 in OOTP GO He started out mediocre then hurt his arm and is out 14 months. A-I GMs were not offering much in the 2025 post season (Tigers won the Series) Currently at the trade deadline we’re floundering around .500. Our prospects are mediocre as well
  13. He could try resigning, giving away all his possessions and confessing his sins….
  14. Been doing a bit of traveling lately and discovering that lots of folks have the same "Me First" attitude with baggage carts as they do shopping carts. Maybe if the hotels were to apply an "Aldi like" fee to carts like at their stores. A $10 fee for carts that gets waived on returned. And not just to the upper floor elevator but to the cart corral
