  1. The Athletic had a story on what's happening here. Not necessarily the Tigers but other teams and pitchers. It's not the signs, but the pitchers tipping the pitch. Usually something subtle in the pitchers movement, his set uo, glove angle or even the way the catcher sets up. The increasing numbers of cameras around the ballpark and multitude of things like iPads and computers in the dugout or just outside. The broadcast during game 2 alluded to Naylor closely studying the Tigers pitchers when he wasn't batting, but watching closely. Maybe their not just watching opposing pitchers, but also opposing batters for subtle signs, above and beyond already noted tendencies. edit, here's the article https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6691711/2025/10/06/mlb-pitch-tipping-paranoia-camera-ipads-pitch-clock/ I forget who the Tiger batter was yesterday who grounded out to first base relatively early in the game collided with Naylor during a particularly hard groundout. The batter knocked Naylor's hat off in the process. For a second it looked like there might have been blows.
  2. October 8 https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/october-8 Of 37 separate fires that break out on the same day in the Great Lakes region, three are massive. The Great Chicago fire killed 300, the Great Michigan fire 300-500, and the Wisconsin Peshtigo fire—history's deadliest—killed least 1,200.

  6. I spent many a nights listening to WBZ out of Boston. They didn't carry the Sox, but did become a Johnny Most fan listening to the Celtic games in the late 60s and early 70s, during the Havlicek days. Was also a big Jerry Williams and Larry Glick fan on talk radio
  7. The Cardinals flagship was KMOX, another 50 thousand watt powerhouse. I'm not sure if the nighttime signal reached Massachusetts though.
  8. Happy First World Series Win Anniversary .

  12. That's my assumption as well. If we get lucky maybe they could incorporate to something like 5/3 Tiger Ballpark. It's doubtful though.

  15. Interesting, no mention whatsoever of the upcoming gubernatorial election while he was in Norfolk Sunday. There was a mention of the AG race. Wonder what he has against Ms Winsome-Sears
  16. Comerica holds the naming rights thru the 2034 season
  17. Comerica holds the naming rights to the ballpark until 2034. Assuming the rights are included with the sale, I have a feeling we are stuck with something similar for a while unfortunately
  18. That just kills MAGA Democrats want to fund healthcare for "Illegals" argument. The administration is currently doing it and has no intention of repealing this law according to the Blond Barbie
  19. America First!! (After the oligarchs and their foreign friends get their cuts) PS share with me where the Constitution says anything about DEI.
  20. Dolphins/Panthers game. Absolutely no defense near the end. PBP guy is horrible. Eric Collins sounds like a bad Top 40 jock from the 1970s
