It was a bad poll, she's retiring but the, he won the election, but he still wants his pound of flesh. How can any Trumpaholics justify this posting.. Trump calls for an investigation into Ann Selzer

Week Eleven: Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) @ Detroit Lions (8-1)
CMRivdogs replied to MichiganCardinal's topic in Detroit Lions
You get a touchdown, and you get a touchdown, and you get a touchdown. Everybody gets a touchdown today -

The new health Grand Pooba wants to do away with vaccines, but he seems to be ok with Big Macs and Coke (probably of many varieties) https://x.com/rikkischlott/status/1858129123182342217?s=61&t=akgNyUltuSb7RN54lulxTw

My fear is the way a lot of the House Districts are gerrymandered most legislatures have less fear of not being elected. That may embolden them more in some areas. If things go to hell quickly and the voters start to feel real pain then we may see a realignment in Congress in 2026. Let's hope America comes to its senses in time for the 250 celebration of the Declaration of Independence. I tend to be a bit pessimistic.

Then there is this https://bsky.app/profile/radiofreetom.bsky.social/post/3lb4c3w3cxs2y A bit of context

Probably closer to the truth

My spouse said she read a theory about the Gaetz nomination. It was made to give Trump cover for a few others, knowing it will cause enough controversy to kill the nomination.

Here's a look at how difficult it will be for DOGE to make significant cuts... https://www.axios.com/2024/11/16/elon-musk-trump-department-government-efficiency Maybe if some of these billionaires paid their fair share. BTW...has anyone checked to verify if Musk is in this country legally, or did he get his visas on false pretenses?

We got them both last time around. One of the arms was a bit more sore than the other (can't remember which was which). Neither one of us suffered any ill effects.

He has majorities in both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court in his pocket. Please explain to me like a third grader how it won't pass if he wants it.

So, the people who insist it’s necessary to have an ID to vote don’t think it’s important for someone to have a background check to become the director of national intelligence? Do I have that right? Really, if a Democrat President-Elect tried the same stunts Republicans would begin impeachment proceedings before the inauguration

If we're still doing election autopsies, this is about a good as anything else out there https://www.publicnotice.co/p/anna-gifty-kamala-harris-glass-cliff Once again for emphasis While pundits have busied themselves over the past 10 days nitpicking Harris’s campaign, one thing is abundantly clear: She was held to the highest standards of leadership while Trump was held to no standard at all.

Another reason to give The Bird the bird https://x.com/therickwilson/status/1857797227659337751?s=61&t=akgNyUltuSb7RN54lulxTw edit Has anyone tried deactivating their account? I keep getting a "something is wrong" message. The "something wrong"is the megalomaniac owner

Today's JVL. For those old enough to remember standing in line to get the polio vaccine on sugar cubes, days before heart, kidney, lung, etc surgery. Knee transplants were not out patient procedures. https://www.thebulwark.com/p/vaccine-politics-and-american-decadence?utm_campaign=email-post&r=45wcm&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email The Trump crime family wants to take us back to those days again. This is one time I'm glad I'm older and can see the end.

It's amazing how stuff accumulates. We did a major purge in the Spring in time for the neighborhood yard sale. Looking around the garage lately and there's still a ton that needs to go. Especially a ton of sheet music that's doubtful. We'll ever use (I'll keep a few "fake books"). I may have to start researching local schools or groups who could use them.

That one almost make sense since he's from North Dakota. Another big business billionaire. Drill baby, drill!,!

The other issue, at least around here seems that the older long time farmers have either retired or died off, their heirs either have no interest in carrying on the tradition or have moved out of the area. They're left with lots of land they're paying taxes on, not producing anything and a portion of the population dead set against new subdivisions, industry or anything else unless it's a WAWA or a BUC-EES
-
If you look back and remember how farmers in the US struggled under Trump's tariffs last time around. This could be much worse. I have no problem attempting to get people to eat healthier and understand the problems with process foods. It just seems that the administration will have a huge problem on their hands trying to dictate to Big Foods.

It's not even going to the Senate. The cowards will bend and adjourn so we can have permanent acting fools in charge

Sri Lanka tried RFK Jr.'s food plan, and it was catastrophic. Productivity plummeted, causing food shortages, skyrocketing prices, lost exports, and an economic collapse. Farmers faced huge losses, forcing the government to reverse the ban and import costly emergency food. https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/03/05/sri-lanka-organic-farming-crisis/
-
I don't know, he's been pushing for adjournment appointments. Basically, the Senate adjourns and he names them without hearings. He wants to make them "acting Secretaries with no oversite" Since the Trumpublicans control both houses of Congress, he may get his own way.

My wife picked up the Piano Note courses a while back. I may think about trying it out again. My biggest problem is thinking in both treble and bass cleft at the same time and hands doing different things. Unlike wind instruments where you mostly think linearly.

I'm curious whether the Yankees' single A team will share the stadium. Possible a morning schedule of home games when the schedule with the Rays collide.

Looks like the butterfly is having some growing pains today. Keep getting "not enough resources" messages
