Could be similar to the gated communities who have been fighting windmills off the Atlantic Coast. Windmills are good as long as they're somewhere else. Like the mountains near Frostburg, Md

Think the VA is screwed up now. Just wait until your co-workers turn on you... Acting VA Secretary Todd Hunter encouraged staff to turn in their coworkers.

Trump just sounds like everyone's grandfather, uncle, father in law, cousin. You know the one "who knows everything" but not really. Or better yet the "fans" you see on many fan sites who know exactly how to fix a team because they finished fourth in a fantasy league 10 years ago. (Fortunately most of the sports guys currently here are smarter than that)

Pretty close to the way his first wife described him near the end of the marriage https://www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/a5380/millionaire-starter-wife/

My understanding is the main issue with those solar farms in California near the Arizona and Nevada is that the infrastructure is not in place to move enough electricity into the Valley and other areas of California. So what's happening a lot of nearby rural areas are getting cheap electricity. I'm not sure whether these are private utility projects or public state or federal projects. Same with Trump's comments on turning on the "splcket" to water resources. The water is there, the infrastructure isn't. Between environmental issues, water rights squabbles, Northern California's objections to moving water to the south, cost over runs, etc, there is no magic bullet. Despite Trump's bluster.

A federal judge on Friday barred Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes from entering the U.S. Capitol or Washington, D.C., without prior approval from the court. The order follows Rhodes’s unannounced visit to Congress this week after his early release from prison following the commutation of his sentence by President Donald Trump for seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack. https://bsky.app/profile/washingtonpost.com/post/3lgj4ar4xpc2x

Trump to Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas....Next hurricane, you guys are on your own Aaron Rupar @atrupar.com Follow Trump: "We're looking at the whole concept of FEMA. I like, frankly, the concept when North Carolina gets hit, the governor takes care of it. When Florida gets hit, the governor takes care of it. Meaning the state takes care of it ... I'd like to see the states take care of disasters."

Trump evidently hasn't talked to farmers getting big $$$ from companies paying to rent their land. They can still plant around windmills if they wish. Solar farm are getting more popular in rural areas here, especially since most of those that own the property are getting older and don't or can no longer put the effort into planting things like soybeans and such. Or their offspring have moved on, and can get mote $$$ renting the fields than they can trying to sell. Most local residence here would almost prefer the solar farm to more subdivisions, rental warehouses or strip malls with empty buildings

Gas prices are up about a dime a gallon here since just before the inauguration. Mostly because of the cold snap and "storms" here on the East Coast most likely. From reports I've seen oil producers are expecting prices to rise a bit " because of policy decisions by major producers and governments" C'mon let's be honest, we're not serious about this we're mote than willing to be manipulated by special interests and, political headwinds and Diet Coke highs.

I'm thinking Matt Patricia was a perfect example of the Peter Principle. Highly touted as an assistant in someone else's system. When promoted he fell flat on his face. I guess he's doing some broadcasting work now, and has lost a ton of weight. Are the Lions in the market for someone to keep DC caffeinated?

I recently came across a 10 year old or so article from Musk's wife #1. She basically described him in just that way. Constantly reminding her he was the Alfa in the relationship. That along with his constant work focus and desire to become one of the major power brokers. Watching Trump since the 80s puts him pretty much the same way, along with his ruthlessness. Musk's South Africa background probably contributes to his traits. With Trump I think he's still trying to prove something to his late daddy (who seemed to be constantly bailing his businesses out of trouble) They are both Alfa males with inferiority complexes and many deep seated prejudices, especially against women and minorities. I've said this before, look up photos of Trump with Putin at Helsinki. He's one cowed little boy

So we'll get 60 year old information about JFK and MLK but not a word on the real cause of death for Trump's buddy Epstein. Come on Donnie Baby make it a trifecta

I don't think either Trump or Musk are true believing Nazi's. They are more likely narcissistic assholes who would do just about anything for attention and power. They are both total control freaks. Personally I think that may be worse.

The House Speaker's Christian ethics strikes again.

Nobody, he'll just become another MAGA drag on society. Not accomplishing anything and living on Trumpfare. His Proud Boy or whomever buddies will welcome him home.

Only the best people. Oops! That was last time around. Deplorable Chris Geidner @chrisgeidner.bsky.social Follow BREAKING, via The Seattle Times: Trump's executive order to restrict birthright citizenship is blocked for at least the next two weeks by a Reagan appointee in Seattle who eviscerated the Trump lawyers present defending the order. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
