I work in diesel technology. I am an independent consultant to the big three. The engineers I work with could give two ****s less what the day to day automotive industry does. We tear down motors all day and drink whiskey late into the night figuring out new technology. We have Germans, Indians, Mexicans and Britts in our ring of consultants.
