  1. I already stated that he most likely will end up in the bullpen, did you miss that? Also, I stated the correct reasons he would be in Erie's rotation, FOR NOW. And you didn't answer my question: Is he in Erie's bullpen? Or rotation?
  2. BTW: Didn't you tell me two years ago that the prospects currently in our system are NO DIFFERENT than the prospects in our system in any other year? So our Detroit team right now consists of Munson, Anderson and Scott Sizemore, right? Because these guys are NO DIFFERENT than any other year, correct? Per your scouting acumen, as you so nobly pointed out, just above.
  3. Awesome. I worship at your feet. Thank you for informing me of my duty to do so. But until he's actually in the bullpen... He's in Erie's rotation, isn't he?
  4. Mark, has the Org stated SPECIFICALLY that they intend Madden to be in the bullpen? Because otherwise, it sounds like pure speculation on your part. And I see zero basis in reality for that speculation.
  5. I'm assuming Manning-Brieske-Hurter-Flores-Montero are the Toledo rotation... So: (A) The Org likes all these guys. As starters. That's why Madden is in Erie. (B) Sammons has absolutely ZERO to do with anything. (C) Despite Marks opine on Madden ending up in the bullpen: He'll be in the Erie rotation this year. And he may well end up in the bullpen. But he's in Erie's rotation because (1) they'll keep him in a rotation for as long as possible until there's no choice but to put him in the bullpen, and that is NOT in the minors (for the foreseeable future), that will be in Detroit if/when he gets there. (2) Failed starters stay in rotations for as long as possible ALSO to develop their pitches as much as they can. Really hard to do that in the bullpen because that's where a pitcher usually simplifies to a top-two pitches, and innings are drastically lower than in the rotation.
  6. Why do you want Ty Madden to replace Bryan Sammons in the Toledo bullpen?
  7. Can they squeeze in both?
  8. Aside from Edvinsson, Tuomisto is 6'5". Wallinder is 6'4". Both have been playing, at least in GR, defensively responsible.
  9. Lyon lays flat down on his back on a loose puck, stopping play. Still 0-0. If this game isn't "the season"... it's damn close to it.
  10. If we fall too far out of playoff range he can play 5-ish or so games this year. IMO.
  11. They bought that land fair and square?
  12. I'm buying puts on "DJT" as well... As many as I can...
  13. BINGO!!! Excellent post. And history lesson for those not in the know...
  14. Like in Afghanistan and Iraq? When we hunted Bin Laden and Saddam until we got them? It's the same thing... right?
  15. Trade Husso. In the offseason. I'm not really sure I care what the return is. Although if viewed as a salary dump (basically it would be) then it might actually cost us a draft pick, or at least a trade down/swap of a pick (like the Cholowski over Chychrun pick swap fiasco...).
  16. I sincerely hope not. Not to be rude (to the Wings & Stevie) but... "Out with the Old, IN with the New"... IMO.
  17. If there is a demand... Supply will find a way. You just noted that above as well. (I get the point about shifting the supply closer to home and it's easier to target... but I don't think stopping cartels will stop China's flow of Fentanyl into America, at all. They'll find another way.) Eliminate or sharply reduce the demand and... The supply will automatically follow suit and fall. It's called "supply and demand", which I am sure you know...
  18. What a ****ing deuchebag. Who gives themselves BS "awards" in order to inflate themselves? Oh, Donald "MF'ing Deuchebag" Trump, that's who.
  19. Yes, I know all this. That's why I said if he's trying to build the team from a less-than-zero standpoint... then he's not able to do this. As you've mentioned, he's had to go out and sign a boatload of FA's just to fill holes. And why I also said: "But now that the team is built up pretty nicely..." I'm hoping he doesn't have to annually sign a crapload of players to fill holes. I guess what that means, ultimately for the team, is that Holmes is successful in drafting, and DC & his coaches "coaching up", enough depth on this team to where Holmes can let 3-5 FA's walk and only have to go out into the market to sign 1 or 2... Meeting your (the NFL's) formula to obtain additional comp picks... Further allowing Holmes & DC to draft and develop depth, future later round starters that require a lot of coaching up, etc... with those extra picks. I don't think we are saying, or want from the Lions, anything different from each other.
  20. A low-A reliever with high spin rates would be the return for Wentz... would be my guess.
  21. Snell signed for 2 years $62 mill. **** no! No thank you very much. Chapman signed for 3 years $54 mill. Nope! No thank you very much. Cody Bellinger signed for 3 years $80 mill. **** no! No thank you very much. Montgomery wants 7 years $172 mill. **** no! No thank you very much.
  22. Right. OLIGARCHY RULES!!! GIMME KLEPTOCRACY OVER DEMOCRACY ANY DAY!!! (Says Putin, Trump, and now Elon Musk...)
  23. The insults against Democracy and the Constitution of the United States never cease with TFG. And in this instance, Speaker Johnson is an ENABLER.
