  1. I am a Legitimate Con-Artist. A Professional Fraudster. Trust Me.
  2. What Bipartisan could look like in the House: https://www.yahoo.com/gma/mccarthy-didnt-want-dems-save-215525254.html
  3. Hah! I think that is more aptly titled: LEE'S MANTRA.
  4. Does that work for the next 8 years too?
  5. Yes. "Legitimate Fraud for Over 40 Years". Sounds exactly correct.
  6. That's a damn fine analogy. But I think it's time the bad child in this scenario needs a spanking. I volunteer to hand out punishments...
  7. Dems should nominate: ADAM KINZINGER!!!
  8. That I am on board with. Also: Ask me if we should add pitching this offseason?
  9. Wicked hot. And wicked, wicked, wicked snark. Hilarious!!!
  10. She is wicked hot... And she has epic, wicked, snark. Hilarious.
  11. My only comment on this is: If we are trying to build a championship level team (and Harris & Hinch are still working on that...), then, IMO, we should have championship level announcers. No. Half. Measures.
  12. And the problem is that we are not really going to find any of this out until the 2024 season. Minor league numbers be damned... MLB is different than MiLB. Different pressures, crowds, fields, lighting (HAH!!!), etc. I am not interested in an IF guy unless he's coming back in trade (and we're sending out a Jung or Malloy or a Keith) AND he's a clear upgrade with the glove at 3B (I'm not counting 2B only, it's too easy to fit someone in there and harder at The Hot Corner, so... 3B'man only), with enough offense, or more, to be above respectable. I don't see any other way to get through this, except patience. And NOT a knee-jerk reaction to just find someone "better" no matter the cost or fit. And Harris has SPECIFICALLY stated that he's not going to sign someone who is going to block these kids. As far as I'm concerned, this is not a REAL conversation because it (trading for, or signing, a 2B/3B player) is not based in reality, at all.
  13. I have a better idea for them: Come to their senses and nominate one of their own as Speaker... and talk to/ negotiate with the Dems. They like BIPARTISAN solutions...? Guess what?
  14. The radical wing will not be able to pull in the Blue Dog Republican votes with a potential Speaker further to the right of McCarthy. They lose. The Dems haven't won anything yet... but that possibility exists... We'll see if they can take advantage of this opportunity...
  15. Trump is actually following Roy Cohn's playbook: be as combative as possible. Attack judges, prosecutors, the legal process itself. Flood the court or adversary with countersuits and delaying motions. But Drumpf and his coterie of weak-imitation-of-Roy-Cohn-lawyers are finally being caught up to... Slap ALL of them with contempt. Jail and high-$ cash fines.
  16. And three more questions/ issues: 1) Max Muncy will be 34 next year. Why would we even consider him? Especially if it's 3-ish years? 2) Harris already said he's not blocking the kids with a veteran. So why are we even discussing 34 year old Max Muncy? 3) If a guy is not going to be appreciably better than what we already have (Jung/ Malloy & Keith all have very high end bats, but maybe questionable fielding at 3B); so whoever we discuss as a better option at 3B better have both a high-end glove and bat, or an adequate bat and superb fielding. Max Muncy is declining... why is he even being discussed?
  17. I look at that as less putting the responsibility on Dems and more as... BEGGING. "PLEASE SAVE US FROM OUR OWN STUPIDITY and FASCISM DEMS... PLEASE!!!"
  18. I'd love to see him spend 30 days in jail and pay a $500K fine for Contempt of Court.
  19. If you're shooting for 80 wins a high end closer is a luxury. So go ahead and stick to your game plan there of trying for 80 wins. I'm not interested in your 80-win team. It's time to shoot for much, much higher. Shooting for 95+ wins, which should be the 2024 goal, means a high end closer is a NECESSITY, not a luxury. I want Josh Hader.
  20. I hope he doesn't pay for Heder. I would prefer he sign Josh Hader.
  21. I trust Harris to NOT make stupid signings like Pederson.
  22. Fully on board with this... I've suggested it before. The Tigers have several guys who could do this... Faedo, Holton, Brieske... Maybe Wentz would pitch better like this... Also, we have lots more waiting in the wings who might be better as a 2-3 inning guy than as a starter... but we don't know yet how these guys will turn out: Flores, Dylan Smith, Montero, etc... As opposed to Jobe and Madden as guys we'd hope stick as starters...
  23. No, no... That's not a team comment... that's a bitch & whine comment... If I don't get Yamamoto and Hader I am going to bitch & whine like everyone else in here... 😉
