I think Manning needs to be sent to the bullpen. As a last chance to figure something out. Like consistency, for one. Maybe his pitches will play up there and he can go all out for 1 inning at a time. I think we have the depth next year to let him try this as something different (because what he's doing this and the past several years is not working...). 100% Won't happen until at least Opening Day. Spring training injuries and all. He's actually been a damn fine pitcher this year... In his GOOD appearances that is. He's been almost dominant, in his "good" appearances. His ATROCIOUS appearances on the other hand (the ratio was 50/50 a while ago, I don't know if he's still on that ratio...) have been, well, I don't even know if "atrocious" is the right word. Is there something worse than "atrocious"?

I just think he's an obnoxious mother-****ing asshole scumbag. The moment he opened his ****ing mouth and started spewing his deuchebag drivel. Which was a long, long, long, looooooong time ago. And he hasn't stopped since.

You're thinking of the NFL, where they do that. There's no such thing in MLB. As Ratko says, he's getting the "whole enchilada".

If Sweeney is capable as the LH'ed starter at SS in 2025... Than Baez can be the short side of a platoon and a defensive replacement, if needed. He can also play other positions, so he could conceivably end up as a utility guy in 2025. A very expensive one though. But I'd rather they move on and look to the future. The exact same position can be filled by Kreidler or Workman, just to see if one of them can stick. But they'd have to be good enough defensively at SS, and I don't know if Kreidler is, or if Workman is ready for MLB just yet... I'm just sayin'...

Same with CJ Weins, the pitcher we got from the Red Sox for Trey Wingenter. PS: 1 inning tonight... nothing except 2 K's.
