  1. Oops, I was thinking of Eduardo. Although the same question would still apply. Also... Getting both Machado and Tatis is (99.999%) a pipe dream. What if it were Tatis and Bogaerts for Baez and lots of prospects? Just asking...
  2. Intriguing idea! I'm all for it. Two important points. Chris Ilitch could prove his bona fides by approving this trade, including spending a few bucks on Baez's salary reduction. But I'll propose a crazy alternative: We'll take on BOTH Tatis & Machado's contract, and send them back Baez (Bogaerts could play 3B). Plus lots of young prospects. The only stick-in-the-mud is that: Doesn't Baez still have no-trade control over where he plays? Yeah, Skubal not included maybe from both ends (we're trying to get into a competitive window so, no Skubal; and they want young, cost-controllable, cheap... even if they are going to try and still stay competitive). Which leads to: prospects. Jobe should be an untouchable; but in a deal like this, I don't see how we can do that. I think there is NO possibility in talking them into taking quantity (Madden/ Smith/ Flores/ Hurter) over quality (Jobe). So, just sayin'... It means we keep a lower starter prospect (Madden), but have to give up...? Jobe? Plus Malloy? And 1 of Keith or Jung? Plus some other pitching and position prospects? I'd also, rather give Lange up than prospect Tyler Mattison (I'm hoping this dude is Hader 2.0 so, yeah: here's Lange instead...). What else? Tatis contract doesn't bother me (he's only 24), but Machado's does. But I'd be 100% willing to chance Machado's contract and hope Harris also would take this "calculated risk" (and Ilitch approve the money commitment). Just spit-ballin' here...
  3. And paid-for cheerleaders.
  4. Yeah, go ahead and explain that.
  5. I'm going back to my Tatis-love. If they're dumping contracts... He's the guy I want.
  6. This is going to require direct action against Iran. Maybe sooner rather than later. They are directly fomenting this.
  7. North Carolina just gerrymandered their House seats to dump 3 Dem districts and replace them with MAGA. There are these, and other headwinds against Dems saving our democracy from the MAGA Fascist ****wad Faction.
  8. 4-1. Loss.
  9. Whatever happens, trade or no trade... Big trade or small... Trust in Holmes.
  10. They're playing like it... Down 2-0 after 1st period.
  11. In other words: It's right-wing sociological problems within White Trash America. Their sense of entitlement. Their sense of violent hatred towards anyone who is not just like them (ethnicity/ religion/ ideology/ whatever...). And their military grade weaponry that they've armed themselves with. They've been lashing out for over 20+ years. Mass murders. Cultural rampages. Some with mental issues, many without, only burning hatreds instead. We're on the verge of losing this country to violent fascists that Trump is trying to cajole into action. We're almost there.
  12. I know you're sad about this G2... But it's essentially correct. Corroborative Theories:
  13. Counter-Counterargument - Trust in Holmes. I also don't believe he would go "all in" or "go for broke" for anyone... But what I would say... is that if Holmes makes a trade for 1 guy or 4 guys (CB, DE, WR, a... kicker?!); that he will properly assess talent and the value of that talent and not overpay. Which may or may not include a top star that is expensive (in draft capital and future Salary cost/ commitment); but, most importantly I don't think he will "bet the farm" on any 1 guy and just throw away too much in future draft capital... I think he would make opportunistic trades (let's just say DJ Chark for a future 6th... just throwing something like that out), find a guy who he can get for value (IE: an under-the-radar CB for a 5th...), and may even decide that he can afford to trade an excess player to reduce the cost of obtaining a guy (Jerry Jacobs + 1st for a top CB or Houston + draft pick for...). Not that those players are excess, but trading for a guy that fits into their position will make a guy, or several guys possibly, expendable. I have no idea what is or is not workable in NFL trades... I guess all I am saying is that I Trust in Holmes to make the right decisions on players/ cost. I'll wait to see what he ends up actually doing or not doing and evaluate from there. But I believe 100% in his ability to evaluate and assess...
  14. Lot's of arrogance after that shootout goal... But... I'd take it...
  15. Let me rephrase that: I think we need to address the F.U. Republican Party we-wanna-arm-every-Republican-to-the-teeth so we can intimidate non-whites and take over the country with our Fascist-designs Problem.
  16. I think we first need to address our violent fascist White Trash Bigoted Hate-Everybody-And-Armed-Up in order to go on a Murder-Rampage problem.
  17. Armed Morality Police are next in America... Per MAGA.
  18. So ****ing gross. Now we live in Saudi Arabia, or Iran?
  19. So the "moderates" did buckle. And the answer to this question is: Mike Johnson. (With a noted look of disappointment/ resignation on my face...).
  20. The Milwaukee Bucks "Long-armed defenders" defense. We can only hope to get there (or at least a reasonable facsimile) one day...
  21. PS: Just because Keith is closer to MLB, and came into the system as a 3B'man... I THINK I would prefer to send Jung over... but that's a really hard call so... I'm glad I'm not the one who has to make that decision...
  22. I would be good with obtaining Kim if that's doable for us... It probably would include 1 of Keith or Jung, just a guess, but flip a coin on which one to send back over... plus other (minor league) secondary pieces, like a Flores or Hurter, my guess...
  23. Yamamoto and Hader are free agents. Why is that laughable versus the Padres, out of the goodness of their heart, sending us Soto or Tatis?
  24. Yamamoto, Hader, and Tatis if we can finagle that trade...
  25. First question(s): What's going on with Hayes, and Ivey? They are not doing what we thought they would be doing, at least by pre-season expectations... IE: Is Hayes actually breaking out? Is Ivey relegated to the bench or does he ascend (all dependent on his defensive play...) back to a starting spot? Is he BETTER as a 6th man than as a starter?
