Don't count our chickens... Just quite yet. Looking promising... But I wanna get past the 2024 election before I breathe a sigh of relief.

Let me shed copious amounts of tears for sad widdle trumpy-boy due to the circumstances he created for himself... This is what my tears look like (in REAL Life...!!!):

They had an interview with Richardson at the NFL Combine, see the Pride of Detroit tracker above... If they are truly interested in him, they may have already made up their minds, and don't need additional meetings to telegraph their interest... Of course, they are meeting with Will Anderson too and have met with Carter so it looks like it could still go in any direction at this point...

I've watched that several times. I love the pre-Darwin Darwinism when they were, conveniently, at Galapagos... Crowe and Bettany made a terrific pair...

2023 Detroit Tigers Regular Season Discussion Thread

I think it will depend a lot on how much patience/ leash they'll give to Schoop. I'm assuming quite a lot more than what I am willing to give... -
2023 Detroit Tigers Regular Season Discussion Thread

I'll be more excited when they release Schoop in order to add Nevin to the roster. I don't even care if Nevin proves to be nothing more than a bandaid at 3rd or another utility guy... I just want to move on from Schoop. Put Nevin at 3rd and Maton at 2nd and mix and match Kreidler/ McKinstry off the bench as needed. If nothing exciting happens with Nevin by mid-season then Malloy should be ready for a call-up (possibly Wenceel as well...? When's he off the DL...?) and we can move to Plan C... IMO. If Perez is ready... maybe he pushes McKinstry to waivers...? -
Makes me excited and impatient to get more of these kids up to Detroit...!

Only once he starts going to shit... Then I'll pipe up... (speaking only from my pov...). -
I would prefer this route. It negates the obvious attraction to drafting Carter... And it gets us a superior player to Carter who is actually producing in the NFL exactly as what we would be looking for from Carter to produce... eliminating any uncertainty... It also opens up #6 to whatever Holmes wants to do otherwise... whether that's Gonzalez, or Bijan, or Wilson or something crazy like Sko or Lucas Van Ness or...?
-
PS: Wings are currently, effectively, in the 11th spot. But only a couple points separate the #8 spot from #12 so they could swing in any direction to end the season, with 6 games left and... hoping for the 8th spot... not the 12th. But they need to stop winning every game or...

Not much you can do except grouse... Players are going to play and try to win... Although it's almost comical how every Detroit team has a shit season except for the last 10% of the season where they go on a winning streak... But yeah... nothing we can do about it. Except grouse.

OK... How about 11th?

There's also a dark-horse guy extremely similar to Kancey in Adetomiwa Adebawore: Almost exact same size, faster, more athletic, longer arms... but more raw, and played more DE than DT so he is a tweener until coached up to a 3-tech DT. But I think that's where he ends up and he looks like a higher upside than than Kancey, with a bit more roadway... That's the guy I hope the Lions are targeting. 2nd round? Maybe even #18, but I don't know how that goes in the draft. I'll leave that part up to Holmes...

This is where I am at, exactly to a "T".

I think this idea is cheap garbage. Here, will this satisfy ya'? https://www.ebay.com/itm/234920303489?hash=item36b2575b81:g:mf0AAOSwXgVkAzlL&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA0JmT59ZOZ%2FbLek%2FyxAt%2Fokj5XXw8T7197Qiym7QjpPQO2L7We2ArLDIf2%2BKrObA%2FvNxNnVof9VTXctqVYYaklmQuivBFQuAoLjpOZvjCFyG0yVn7BHtC5R%2Bzo305K8tuvy%2F9ik4rQgo8k4BTtCwAFTZImBcD1t5vubpcqx3WCxcZND%2BI3RQRYKPt4iU90lcGpJHsFmHZ7cT6v3%2BOKp41rPdyWAGT2Ok0uLmj3F9ZVw0Q8GlNckiJkvszr19JMYb0IIQUA8eGbn7HKCZAp%2BBvSVQ%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5Cy1qjoYQ

I don't have any problem sending in the National Guard and forcing the extradition.

PS: This feels like trying to introduce the metric system. I'm not interested. Especially when a star player from "my" team (as any fan from any team would feel IMO) gets injured in a meaningless "tournament of nothing" game.

Which gets a team... What?

Well it was Jamaal who said out loud: "I was disrespected" so I think he is the one who messed up. His agent may or may not have told him "this is the best deal you'll get"... but we don't know anything about any of that... so the only thing I have to go on is the player's actual statement, not the agent's unknown side in this story. Maybe he felt he was worth/ should have been offered more years/ money/ guarantees... dunno. But I'm sticking with the Jamaal-overvalued-his-worth side of the story...

Nobody is sitting on the sidelines anymore. Not anyone who cares about Democracy in America.

I think the critical issue was that not enough people knew exactly how over-the-top dangerous Trump was in 2016 so they did not have enough evidence to vote Dem no matter who the candidate was. And yes there was a lot of hatred for Hillary... I'm not saying that if 2016 were a do-over that Hillary would win in a landslide... But she would win. The 3rd party votes would drop to a minimum... and the Independents would swing to Clinton, not Trump. Just like in 2020... My 2 cents.
