  1. Vrana dumped for a bucket of pucks. To the Blues for a 27 y.o. AHL Center and a 2025 7th...
  2. That's to cross the Dnieper River to the east of Kherson City and to push the Russians all the way back to Crimea. Bottle them up there... and Ukraine could sweep from west to east and push Russians out of Zaphorizhzhia, Melitopol, and Mariupol... And then Russia would be back to where they started BEFORE the war began... It could get interesting over the next few months, depending on what Ukraine actually does in the way of counterattacks...
  3. I don't want a slow, run-plugging LB'er. We have those. I want a fast and furious safety/LB'er type of hybrid coverage LB'er - Simpson/ Henley? - that can cover LB'ers and RB's and run sideline-to-sideline making 30 tackles and 2 INT's/ game... Well, that might be exaggerating it a bit. But just a little.
  4. The Lions may shock us and take him at 6. I'm just trying to read the tea leaves/ coach/GM speak that's floating around. They want supremely talented players and they don't care what anybody else thinks about what they are doing. I'm not going to stress. There's more than one way to pick up defensive players so... We'll just have to live with whatever they come up with. I'm steeling myself to not be surprised by ANYTHING that Holmes decides to do... in the way of player acquisition.
  5. Just a good enough backup... Hellberg is fine short term... For the future: I don't know if that's Ned, or Cossa gets better (at least 2-3 years away...?) or...?
  6. I'm still on board with both buying and selling... Even though only selling to this point... But give me another Leddy trade (got Walman back) and I'm in. I vote for Chiarot...
  7. What a gorgeous woman. Brilliant too.
  8. The ups and downs of Akil Baddoo: 0-4 with 4 K's today...
  9. Heavy Metal. The original.
  10. 👍👍👍👍 Collective Security. Best deal on the planet!!! 😁
  11. I had Nevin as stealing the opening day 3rd base starter position... keeping Maton in the Ben Zobrist spot. Just a guess...
  12. Haven't thought about Trei in quite some time... Other guys at his position seem to have dominated the spotlight... But I still like this kid. Have no idea what he can turn into... a real prospect or not... but he may be another interesting guy to follow this year in the minors, especially to see what the new development team can do with him. I'd also love to see the new team help Dingler rediscover his hit tool.
  13. They've accumulated a lot of talent. Even if it's mismatched at this point. And we still have the 2023 1st round pick high up in this draft... to add another piece. But the ball is squarely in the "development" court right now. Bigly. Casey has a big job to develop all of these kids... Which... Still doesn't guarantee wins or playoffs yet. But yeah, they need to start working in that direction next year.
  14. We were damn close to a playoff run... And we even made a huge feint in that direction... Twice. At the beginning of the season; and the recent spate of games not including the last 3...
  15. All the key guys are works in progress. And Cade missed his second year which slows that progress. But I am hoping by at least next year mid-season, if not sooner... that all these kids start to gel and start making some rapid on-court growth... Might not mean we avoid the lottery next year... but if they could show the improvement with a rapid increase in wins by season's end... At least we'd have an idea that these kids could actually be the right foundation for future competitive teams. I think they are. But it's too early to know for certain and there's just way too much learning curve left for most of them, and too much mistakes, and losses. So... we'll see.
  16. I think he would really, really fit a Raiders culture. Or at least the Raiders culture from my ancient memory...
  17. This I believe will be the deciding point for the Lions. If he's only guilty of misdemeanors, and nothing else, he'll get his second chance, or actually first, in the NFL. As he should. But I think Holmes/ Campbell/ Ford firmly believe each of their players have character, integrity, be a leader, and have a serious love for the game. Maybe not every single player hits every one of those traits. But, at least on the surface, it appears that Carter is showing a serious lack of judgement, of character, and of integrity. And a "pattern" to that, which makes it even worse. Add that to a lack of commitment to the team/ football (if that is true) and it's an absolute that he is being removed from the Lions' Board. They still need to research all of that. But, again, from appearances sake... It looks like he has removed himself from the Lions' Draft Board, 2023. Based on multiple issues... and not necessarily those misdemeanors in and of themselves.
  18. Good... Leave Tork! in the #2 spot for the rest of ST so either he can sink, or swim, at the plate...
  19. If they draft Wilson or Murphy I believe that changes immediately...
  20. Drafting Adrian Hutchinson, Josh Paschal, and James Houston, and therefore... No longer needing Okwara or Harris.
  21. So you're part of the 7%... right?
  22. I would certainly, ABSOLUTELY, without-a-doubt... trade Okwara for signing Jamel Dean. Dump Okwara, and whatever other cap maneuvers are required, for that one move...
  23. Oh right... I always forget about that...
  24. I didn't think it was that high...
