  1. I'm on board with a prospect thread... Keep those highlights coming! Love them!!!
  2. And my answer to that is: Ukraine.
  3. Also... If Russia ever wanted to go back to Europe with gas... their hope now lies in existing Ukrainian pipelines. It now benefits Russia to take over all of Ukraine (which they can't do), NOT use nukes in Ukraine (self-explanatory), or make a quick end to this war and negotiate some kind of settlement. The question here is who benefits the most from this new reality...?
  4. Personally, I don't think it's the Russians at all. It's anti-Russians IMO... although I don't know if that means a Ukrainian saboteur team, or anti-Russian Germans or other...
  5. Short answer: They are kaput.
  6. Both Nordstream 2 AND Nordstream 1 have been disrupted/ attacked. They are both out of commission.
  7. He must've been looking in the mirror at the time of any DeSantis tweets and... Got confused.
  8. The grit factor is off the charts. Restores my faith in.... Star Wars? Yeah, absolutely. I'd like to say humanity but MAGA Republicans are poisoning this country with hatred and Putin is attempting to murder Ukraine. Maybe next year...
  9. He's been a consistent 0 to 2 WAR player, at best, for the past 6 years. Pretty consistent. I would have no problem, whatsoever, moving on from Schoop. None. Let the kids play. Screw Schoop.
  10. So I see that as a top need. I agree with the sentiment that Amani is an OK CB if the other CB's are weaker and they, not he, is getting picked on. But with Okudah emerging this year, I think we are going to see all year long what Amani's weaknesses are as opposing teams load up on passes his way... And Will Harris is also not the answer. It doesn't have to be a top 10 1st round pick either...
  11. It's going to be time, in next year's draft... to look for Amani's understudy and eventual replacement. Unless that's Melifonwu?
  12. I'm 100% on board with this. All of it.
  13. I would look to some young MLB players like him who haven't solved MLB yet, on either side of the ball... and go after them. Greene & Tork fit that definition. But hoping they can break out in 2023 and get off that list... Not interested in trading them. Next Question: Would another team take a chance on a comeback by Candy or Schoop and trade for them? Should we trade those guys on that basis... that another team is taking that chance? Do we ask for a guy like Kelenic back for them? Both sides would then be taking the same chance: a comeback to prior expectations. With Candy & Schoop having more track record and Kelenic/ similar having more "potential".
  14. Is Kelenic an undervalued talent/ target?
  15. I think the biggest mistake was the 2nd quarter 4th down attempt with 6 yards and 5 1/2 min's to go at midfield. I love his aggressiveness... but I think Campbell cost us 7 points on that one... Which would have made the end-of-game issues moot point.
  16. I don't think Williams is the example of this team's lack of depth. He's the tough guy who gets tough yards. Not the game-breaker. Swift is the game-breaker. And if Swift is nicked up... we turn to Craig Reynolds. Who is a nice story... but he's like the Victor Reyes of the Lions. You really don't want to see much of him at all. Maybe on a series or a couple plays to give Swift a breather as needed. Craig Reynolds is the depth problem. But, then again... it's not like every other team has two explosive game-breaking RB's and a short yardage tough guy in their RB stable. Although... I don't know why Justin Jackson didn't get the 3rd RB spot... but that's just me. I don't want to call him a gamebreaker either... but I thought he was better than Reynolds...
  17. Comical would be my word of choice.
  18. Still waiting anxiously for the Kherson breakthrough...
  19. Yeah... I wasn't counting the coaching side... but definitely Coolbaugh... unless there's some compelling reason that he is just so much more awesome than what we are seeing and... As for Candy. I keep him until we have something better. He's also a comeback candidate who, if he does come back, is a good trade candidate at the deadline. At this point, he's a 1-year stopgap (if we make the offer for next year), which gets us 1 more year to evaluate Keith. And Kreidler and Lipcius and anyone else for that matter as well... If someone pushes him out of Detroit I'm ok with that too... I just don't see it quite yet...
  20. Of course... Abrasive, Ciccarelli-type... but I haven't heard anything interesting in a year or so on him... What've ya' got here (as I go to actually check out what you've posted on him...)?
  21. If Vrana teaches Zadina how to actually get the puck into the net then that could be a big plus... We can only hope...
  22. Parker went 3 for 4 today with a HR & a double. Workman 2 for 4 with a HR. Flores pitched 4 inn's, 4 hits 1 BB 5 K's, 2 ER's...
  23. Guys that I'm most ready to move on from... right now: Barnhart, Schoop, and Miggy.
  24. Next question: If Goff plays well in 2022, does he warrant an extension? My answer: no. We've got him in 2022/23/24. He'll be 31 at the end of that contract. Not old for a QB. But he's not a strong/ accurate deep arm like Stafford. I could see his arm strength/ accuracy getting worse at age 32+ so I say no to any extension. I'm fine with the through 2024 contract... and getting a QB to develop for a year or so prior to his last year. Just my 2 cents.
