Pretty much all these minor leaguers are fingers crossed. But yeah... hope for the best here.

PS: He has a high Hit tool, great plate discipline, and some, but not monstrous, power. We'll see how that works out... but it's an Edgar profile... would love to see him hit that.

We're in so desparate a need to good MLB bats that I can actually live with this. Especially if he actually does have a special bat. I won't cry over an Edgar Martinez. Not at all.

If Wenceel is able to grab ahold of, and hold onto, 2B for the Tigers... Then yeah, Jung is probably headed to DH.

I like Collier more... And Jung is a bit stiff, even at 2B... But I wouldn't be upset at all with the selection...

The Rockies take a Pitcher.. One personal draft philosophy of mine I want to point out: Do NOT draft a catcher in the 1st round. I'm 99.9% against that. Especially for the Tigers. Gimme Jung or Collier...

Would have loved a top 5 pick this year. Well, top 6 since Kumar slipped in there. But the other 5 guys all look like they could be MONSTERS in MLB... (That includes Brooks Lee who is actually a top 5 talent this year... and the difference in talent in those top 5 position players is not much...)

I DO have a recipe... that I believe would be appropriate... It's for a Russian Quaalude: One shot of Stoli's Vodka, one shot of Kahlua, one shot of Bailey's Irish Cream, one shot of Frangelico hazelnut liqueur. Shaken over ice, and poured into (4) shot glasses. A "White Russian on steroids" shot.

I'm going to watch the draft on ESPN tonight... I doubt there's any excitement there... But I'm tired and bored and not up for any excitement. I might zone in and out of the draft as consciousness also waxes and wains...
