  1. Busy night for me... didn't get a chance to look at anything but... it looks like a 3-1 win for the Wings!!! Gagner (!) 2 goals, Larkin 2 assists, Greiss 32 saves...
  2. Detroit Red Wings, 27-34-9, 9-21-3 AWAY ESPN+ 7:30 PM WPG -280 Winnipeg Jets, 33-27-10, 19-14-2 HOME
  3. Some signs of life...? Lots of assists from the D'men.
  4. 1993. It's been awhile...
  5. Conversely, I think it just might be the Tigers' decision, not his. He gets paid either way. But I'll be watching this game of chicken to see who ditches first...
  6. Yeah.. exactly. To your point: I think if any one of us came on yesterday and said, "Hey, we should trade Paredes for Austin Meadows!!!"... Said person would have been nearly laughed off the board...
  7. Yeah, I wouldn't bet your life savings on that if I were you... But... we'll see.
  8. Quick question: Has anyone in here been to Ukraine or Russia aside from me...?
  9. The other thing I would say: About how Avila is putting together a team, is that he appears to be paying attention to Lefty-Righty balance, by going after a lot of SH'ers (I'm not saying that these guys are effective from both sides... just saying it's a focus...) to include Grossman, Candelario, Reyes, Willi... and a lefty-righty balance in the guys he signs or trades for (or Rule 5's..): Barnhart, Baddoo, Meadows, Haase, Baez, Schoop... He inherited or has prospects just coming up in Greene (L), Tork (R), Miggy (R)... We are not dominated by either RH'ed hitters or LH'ed. And Hinch can stack a lineup on either side if he so wishes based on how Avila has constructed this team. IMO, I think that is a plus....
  10. Hopefully... not.
  11. That could be just "shell shock". I'll wait until he has a better team in front of him before I make a judgement call. It's just too hard to do that right now...
  12. Escalate to deescalate. I am fully on board with packing the SC with Liberal judges until: (A) A set number of judges is defined by law, and (B) MCConnell's shenanigans are ruled illegal and the Senate must follow specific rules to vote on a SCOTUS. No passing on a vote because "reasons", and no trying to jam a candidate through in under a month because... "reasons".
  13. Because it would REQUIRE a Manchin AND Sinema sign-off. So either those two centrists approve, or we get nothing.
  14. No. They already hold all the land that they need to to control the land bridge that they want from Russia to Crimea. Except Mariupol, which they will eventually take. They also control just west of Crimea, all the way to Kherson, which means they control the water supply into Crimea. They will try to expand northward from the coastal strip around Crimea... of course. Also, it is not a problem to rebuild the forces they've pulled from Kiev area into Byelorussia, and ship them over to the Eastern Ukraine/ Western Russia border (right above Donbass) and concentrate on just this one area (north of Crimea coastal strip and west of the Donbass to the Dnieper River. They units won't be what they once were, and they may only have half of those units... but they can still win some territory with numbers. There's a lot of open land between the Russian border above the Donbas and the Dnieper River. That's not where Ukraine wins. They win in built up areas/ cities/ dense suburbs, etc... And... Ukraine does not have enough offensive weapons to take this land back. They have mostly defensive weapons. Unless we (NATO countries, maybe even the US) can get them the MIG's that they want, and tanks and APC's and mobile artillery, they won't be able to make any significant gains against the Russians... Whatever land Russia is able to take, they will most likely be able to hold.
  15. OK, fine, she gets Putin as President. Deport her and all other Trump Supporters that make this choice, including Donald MF'ing Trump and his brood. Their choice. They want Putin, they can have him for the next 25 years... IN Russia. They can send us their report after 25 years and tell us how much they loved their life under Adolph "Murderer of Women and Children" MF'ing Putin.
  16. Before the next Senate electors are seated, Biden will still have the majority, 51-50. And if the Dems somehow hold onto the Senate after the 2022 elections, they will still have their 51-50 majority... save any Dem Senator deaths/ early retirements in a Republican controlled state. I specifically stated that in my next post.
  17. You don't seem to understand what I am stating. KBJ will get some Republican support because she's replacing a liberal judge. The SCOTUS Nominee to replace Clarence Thomas, if Biden chooses, will get ZERO Republican support so it better be a centrist juror. There's no appeasement there. That's just political reality.
  18. If they don't win the Senate back, yes, Biden will be able to get a candidate through. And before the next election winners are seated in the Senate, yes, he will be able to get a candidate through. I specifically stated this.
  19. PS: The House doesn't matter in SCOTUS... Senate only... if Dems can hold the Senate in 2022 (a major struggle...) they can still seat Supremes.
  20. Biden will need a non-controversial centrist type judge then... As long as Manchin & Sinema are on board they'll be able to get that person through the nomination...
  21. So scumdouchery runs in the family?
  22. If he's still there in the 6th round, I may, or may not, be interested... But not before then.
  23. Boston Bruins, 43-20-5, 21-9-3 AWAY ESPN+ 4/5 7:30 PM Detroit Red Wings, 26-34-9, 17-13-6 HOME
  24. After Ukraine, they are the next ones exposed, along with Moldova, to Russian expansionism. I say follow their lead... a complete shutdown of trade relations with Russia. Germany won't turn off the gas spigot though. They can't. Not without crashing their own economy. But I'm all for taking the absolute harshest measures possible with them... Kick them out of the G20, out of WTO, out of most favored nation, out of the UNSC, a complete shutdown of trade relations, send 50-75 Polish & Romanian MIG's to Ukraine along with all other Soviet era tanks, APC's, etc.... I think the US and a couple others kicked them out of MFN status... can we get more? Following the Baltics/ Polish lead...?
