  1. Neither. It's unlikely because (A) The threat of nuclear war is both unacceptable, and unrealistic. Putin might just be that stupid... he's already threatened the west with nuclear weapons and may even be eager to test them out. But from the west's POV it's a non-starter. We don't negotiate with terrorists, or terrorist threats. Threaten, or actually use a nuclear weapon and all of Europe, U.S. & Canada, and even countries like Japan declare war against Russia. An actual World War. Maybe Putin has lost his mind and doesn't care anymore... but the response so far to his aggression means he has to understand that if he goes too far, the rest of the world is not going to just roll over for him. And a nuclear weapon is a bridge way, way too far... At least I hope he realizes that. (B) Trump? Are you F'ing kidding me? (This is not actually directed at you Chas but, rather, the expected response from the Biden Administration. Probably that... and a Ukrainian Go F Yourself too, just for good measure). There is no possible way they would place Trump in the same room as Putin, as Trump would sell him Alaska for $20 Billion and TWO Trump Towers. The Biden Administration's counterproposal: "Vlad, you get Hillary Clinton. She will be our lead negotiator. Dasvidanya."
  2. Sounds like a "Cover Story".
  3. Wow! That's pretty blunt. Great footage.
  4. That was exactly my point. So telling...
  5. I'd like one more top 4 defenseman to start with. Allowing for the option of either pairing Edvinsson with Seider, or splitting them up to create two dominant defensive pairings. A coach could mix and match as needed.
  6. If Soderblom could make the cut/ NHL this year... another weapon...
  7. Detroit Red Wings, 24-25-6, 8-14-3 AWAY ESPN+ 6:00 PM FLA -300 Florida Panthers, 36-13-5, 24-6-0 HOME
  8. Maybe the Russian Trolls went back to hiding under the bridge?
  9. No Myles Turner to protect the paint... Bagley going off...
  10. I like that Cade has a mid-range game. A couple of those guys just to show something different (wouldn't want to be dependent on mid-range stuff but... just to show a different look...).
  11. Power Play is still looking dysfunctional...
  12. Still a bit more than two weeks to go but... I'd like to see this starting to heat up a bit...
  13. In other words: Trump was boot-licking Putin, yet again...
  14. I don't believe this has much relevancy. Certainly not as much as... in 2008, we, as a nation, were a little bit distracted. With Iraq, hunting for Bin Laden, and an economic crash. IIRC: Georgia barely registered on our conscience, as we were a bit busy at the time. I remember it in the news. But it was fait accompli before we could even get an opinion out the door. And despite my hyperbole: IOW - we just were not prepared, at all, to give any kind of response whatsoever.
  15. Caught off guard. Not this time. And, the parts of Georgia and Ukraine that were previously invaded have a sparse population in comparison, and the capitals/ country were not taken over, just... parts. Russia did not take over Tbilisi, nor Georgia, nor Ukraine (as a whole, previously...). This is different. The response is different. And the world was ready for this response (this time). And one last thing: Biden has been a driving force in pulling everyone together for this response. He deserves major, major credit for this response to Russian aggression.
  16. Crap... I didn't even catch that... I should pay more attention...
  17. The oil industry is also asking for a supportive governmental permitting atmosphere, versus current non-supportive: (I'm for combatting climate change... but I'm also a realist and an "all-in" guy that ranks "energy security" just as high as climate change. That means I am both for combatting climate change as well as fracking, supporting the U.S. Oil & Gas industry, nuclear energy, EV's and the support infrastructure needed for them, etc...): https://finance.yahoo.com/news/biden-called-unleash-shale-counter-050001633.html
  18. Holy Crap! Go Ukrainska! Slava Ukraini!
  19. Right, Because the 9 million Russian deaths at the hands of Stalin don't count as much as NATO sanctions... Riiiight.
  20. Russians love their children too. Vladdie just doesn't give a shit. About anything. Except power (and money).
  21. "Looks like NATO + Sweden and Finland meeting tomorrow." Let them in NATO A.S.A.P.
  22. And if you put a gun or a tank in their hands what's to prevent them from turning on their "militaristic captors", otherwise known as their fellow Russian soldiers and commanders? Another thought that popped in my head was the movie Enemy at the Gates with Jude Law and Ed Harris. With new conscripts, no training, and no weapons (50/50 actually) thrown at German machine guns in Stalingrad...
  23. Yeah I'll believe that when I see it. The guy is fucking snake-oiled and slithers out of so much criminal activity that it's... Well... Criminal.
  24. Russia has taken control of Kherson. Ukrainian forces have withdrawn.
