  1. I have to say though... this draft seems a lot more shrouded in mystery than other Yzerman drafts for the Red Wings... Could be just me...
  2. Music to my ears...
  3. Brennan Ali actually looks a little bit interesting too... especially for a 7th rounder...
  4. PS: That's twice they've taken advantage of other teams' cap limitations to steal a young goaltender with big upside...
  5. Beautiful. And he's only 27. Will also give some serious competition to Nedeljkovic. Who ends up as the starter? Or do they just split 50/50?
  6. Seems a lot like last year. But the grotesque starts to the season are killin' us...
  7. A lot of projection in there because he won't have played a lot of minutes on the men's team. That's why it has to be "trust the Yzerplan"... I liked Savoie because he had the playing time to show what he was: fast, aggressive, offensively explosive... Easy to picture him as a #2 Center. Kasper is harder to see because of the limited playing time/ all projection... Does he turn into another Larkin? A two-way playmaking 2C? Or less than that (3C or other...)? Much harder to see what will happen here...
  8. Also: Another point of context: He was 16 years old when he started playing with Rogle (Swedish men's professional league) with 10 games. At 17 he played 58 games (including the Championships) and scored 9 goals. I don't know how good he'll turn out to be... but this is an "In Yzerplan I trust" selection and... maybe he turns into another Seider (makes leaps & bounds as his age catches up with the leagues he'll be playing in...). Especially when he hits the NHL...
  9. Playing against grown men, quite a bit less than that... But playing against his same age: 45 goals in 66 games... We'll see how he does when he grows - age-wise - into the Swedish League, at Grand Rapids, and with Detroit in a couple years...
  10. In Yzerplan I trust...
  11. Kasper it is... But I was hoping for fast and aggressive and explosive on offense (Savoie) rather than just "good discipline" (Kasper) so... I'll be watching how those two turn out. I'm sure Wright will have an internal competition with Cooley as well, o see who turns out better between those two...
  12. If a D'Man falls to us I'd want it to be Nemec more than Jiricek. But I doubt either falls that far. I've seen Lekkerimaki also mocked to Detroit. High-end offensive skill. Still, amongst the choices who realistically may fall/ be available to the Wings, amongst: Gauthier, Savoie, Lekkerimaki, Kasper, Nazar ... It's Savoie I want most. The rest are mostly tied. Including the defenseman after Nemec and Jiricek are gone.
  13. Is that you Tomi Lahren?
  14. Drop Grossman and add Baddoo in there and... Let's see what happens...
  15. Although he didn't play as many games in Detroit (or stayed in Detroit) as Higginson... I think of Bobby Higginson the same way I think of Steve Kemp.
  16. Might depend on the oligarch... Some are staunchly against fascism. But in Russia, Putin kills off those dissenting oligarchs so they better be in his back pocket and be licking his boots, or else... DeSantis has already tried that in Florida. Punishing those against his politics and rewarding those who kiss his feet. Are we turning into our own version of Russia? Is that where oligarchic greed here is leading us to...? I thought it was white trash bigotry that had us headed in that direction.
  17. Oligarchs don't have as much power as they think. Especially in a fascist police state... Putin has proven that.
  18. Professors and College students are required to report their political leanings to the State. That doesn't sound like a Democracy to me at all. That sounds exactly, and I mean EXACTLY, like a Fascist Police State. Trump is a wannabe Kim Jung Un. He wants to own everything (an entire country) and everyone is required to give him everything. DeSantis is a straight up police state fascist. I don't like where this country is headed.
  19. It depends on what your definition is of "better off". He is a much, much more dangerous fascist than TFG. So, how is that better off?
  20. PPS: I left his mother out of this one...
  21. PS: I wouldn't have called him a moron because he actually has a brain and knows what he's doing. That's the REALLY dangerous thing about DeSantis. EXTREMELY dangerous fascist. And he's not a douche like Trump... although it may also apply here but... I think all fascists are scumbags so... in the ballpark?
  22. Damn, pretty close...!
  23. Ditto. And yet I'm hearing from multiple Republicans that they are getting on board with this guy as the replacement for Trump. I've also heard this question several times: "I know you HATE Trump... But.. What about DeSANTIS?!?!" Anyone want to guess how I answered that?
  24. "Register their political views with the state" Why doesn't he just come out and say it: "Democrats are outlawed in Florida."
