And I'm 100% certain that the Gazan Health Services... err, Hamas... that publish the total Gazan deaths in this war, are INCLUDING those executions in those numbers. Of the 37K Gazan deaths... how many were from HAMAS? I know the Al-Shifa bombing was Hamas, nor Israel, that's already been proven. That was ~300 deaths? There's these and COUNTLESS other Hamas executions of Gazan Palestinians, including I don't know how many that were headed to Israel's safe passages that Hamas shot and killed to prevent them from gaining safe passage (Hamas wanted more Gazan civilian deaths from Israel's war against Hamas TERRORISTS to show the world how bad, how very, very bad these Israeli's are... So trapping them inside dangerous warzones was to Hamas' benefit.) How many civilians were killed by Hamas by simply being within the crossfire, or crossfires, of war? How many civilians were forced into being Palestinian hostages held next to Hamas targets so Hamas could specifically add civilian death counts to Hamas terrorist death counts whenever the terrorists were targeted and killed? Which they knew they WOULD be... Lastly, how many "civilians" were not actually civilians, but participants in Hamas' terrorism? Children as young as 8 or 9 are conscripted into Hamas terrorist network as messengers, weapons/ammunition carriers, battlefield reconnaissance/ surveillance/ and damage assessment, etc...?

I am on THIS bandwagon.

This is from Pronman at the Athletic (I thought this was a very interesting comment.. and I like it!!!): https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5524296/2024/06/18/2024-nhl-draft-biggest-questions/ Where does my team need to pick to have a realistic expectation of landing a future top-six forward or top-four defenseman? Pronman: I have 18 players in this draft that I’m very passionate about and project as top-six forwards or top-four defensemen on competitive teams. Wheeler: A clear top-17 emerged for me in this draft, and I think all of those players project as that caliber of player. I expect 14 of those players to be gone in the front half of the first round but there are three who could conceivably linger into the late teens or 20s: Michael Brandsegg-Nygard (the least likely of the bunch to linger), Trevor Connelly and Michael Hage, all of whom are forwards. There are others who I think could become that (players like Solberg and Adam Jiricek could become second-pairing D, for example, and there are others who will develop nicely and become second-line forwards) but my “expectation” does lower once those 17 are taken. If your team is drafting in the top 15 this year, you’re going to get a very good player. There may be a small group of them available for a short time after that.

They're on the right track. But it's a torturous, treacherous path.

On the 53? Or stash two of them on the Practice Squad? How exactly are we thinking that's going to work...? 3 on the 53 seems a bit... much.

FTFY. But yeah, particularly the past 8 years they've made a bonanza off of his rantings and ravings. But he was also normalized on The Apprentice. A complete and total abject failure touted on the show as an "amazing businessman". It was Howard Stern milking him before that. The New York tabloids and other rags in the 1980's before that.. A long, long, long history of media milking his obnoxious, grotesque drivel...

I wanna see more of THIS Riley Greene...

Yes. That's the concise version.

Pitchers are jamming him inside from what I've seen... He either adapts... Or flops. Up to him.

Worse. Shifting everything over to tariffs means jacking up tariffs, as stated above several times. Which means the rest of the world is going to do the same. They're not just going to rollover and say "oh. thank you very much Donald Trump. No worries". No... the response will be a worldwide tariff war. A major, serious one. Both imports AND exports will come to a screeching halt. Creating a worldwide Great Depression. Which brainless MF'ing JACKASS is spouting this utter idiocy? Oh, yeah, Donald Brainless MF'ing MORON Trump. A MORON for over 40+ years.

I grew up in Michigan, left for the Army after HS, went to college after the Army in Boca Raton, FLA and lived 19 years in S Florida and 20 in New Jersey after that, as of this year... It amazes me that people look at me after talking to them for a few minutes (after just meeting them, no matter south FL or Jersey) and they say: "Oh, you're from Michigan, aren't you?" WTF? I have an accent?

I would still rather have a pitcher with a 0.89 WHIP and K's 7.4 per 9 and walks 3 per 9, who keeps runners off the bases for the most part, rather than a pitcher with a 1.39 WHIP even if he K's 11 per 9 and walks only 3 per 9. WHIP works fine and dandy for me. It may even include nice groundball rates, avg. EV's, etc... But I find it to be a great one-stop shop number that tells me all I need to know. If a guy is consistently between 0.90 and 1.10 WHIP year after year, and another guy is consistently 1.28-1.48 WHIP every year, I choose the lower WHIP guy. I don't need to look at anything else. Simple. And an easy choice.

2024 Trade Deadline Rumors and Discussion

He also plays 1B I believe. Options. Hinch and Harris love those flexible position options... -
I'll give another reason to kick upstairs to West Michigan Clark, Briceno & McGonigle: Nearly the entire week of games is postponed due to afternoon showers. How many Lakeland games get postponed due to weather? Especially around the summer "monsoon" months? I am... annoyed.

Need a new Goalie (work with me here)
1984Echoes replied to AlaskanTigersFan's topic in Detroit Red Wings
??? 2-3 years away? He was the starter in Grand Rapids this year, with a .913 save percentage that was better in the 2nd half than in the 1st half. No. Trade Husso (which would actually COST us so I don't see that realistically happening) and give the backup job to Cossa who can, if he plays as well in Detroit, take over the starting job from Lyon. And even if we don't trade Husso in the offseason, they can bring up Cossa more slowly, for games here and there (as Husso or Lyon get nicked up for a few games (which happens often, with Husso at least) or just to slowly beak him into the NHL...). Also, and this is a key point: The goaltending can get better if the defense gets better. And that means both forwards and defenseman. I would work on THIS first... which allows time for the team to bring up Cossa and see if he can cut it in the NHL and take over as a #1, and it also allows time to work Husso out of that contract. AFTER the defense improves (both forwards & defenseman)... THEN a better analysis of goalie needs can be determined. It's hard to see how good or bad our goalies are when we are playing too much subpar defense. So, IMO, defense first, and then goalie afterwards. Which might be Cossa. And if it isn't, THEN we look for a goalie upgrade. It MIGHT be possible that Cossa makes that... moot. So... we'll see. But again: defense first IMO, then goalie. That's just my 2 cents. -

Then just promote Cossa. -
QUOTE from SINWAR on Israel: "We have them right where we want them..." I wonder why he would say something like that? /s
