PS: There were 5 states that sent in Fake Electors, including Michigan. Rachel Maddow found out all the dirt: Georgia, Nevada, Wisconsin, Arizona and Michigan https://www.yahoo.com/news/maddow-exposes-trump-groups-shady-053905477.html

That's like Republicans trying to silence CRT education. Right?

I approve this message...

I don't have the latest... but he's been distorting all along: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/florida-covid-cases.html https://climate.law.columbia.edu/content/covid-19-data-misrepresented-florida-governor https://www.factcheck.org/2021/11/scicheck-desantis-comments-social-media-posts-mislead-on-covid-19s-toll-in-florida/

Florida, errr, DeSantis, is hiding half of their Covid deaths. You know that, right?

Well... Maybe I'm wrong...

Much like the man himself.

PS: And send a carrier group into the Black Sea as well. Just for fun.

How about we pre-position 40,000 US Troops in Ukraine... just to see how many veins Putin would pop... Just a guess but... I think he would back down.

Cold weather and not great beaches. It's as simple as that. Half of California and half of Florida is into beaches and water sports. And that's aside from lots of other things to do (both have Disneys, Universal, multiple other attractions... and we haven't even gotten to cultural stuff...). Great that NYC and Chicago have lots & lots of stuff to do... Still can't compare to Southern Cali or South Florida. And we're mostly talking about the beaches. And Disney. And other stuff...

Well that should give them a good look at these guys... Fortuitous insider's look if they like these two guys...

Miami. Same situation for the Marlins.

1984Echoes replied to casimir's topic in Detroit Pistons
Isn't that Olynyk? I mean I get that he's injured... but he's the starter if he's healthy and that solves the Stew issue. Yes, Stew should be coming off the bench as the "energy guy"... But it's Olynyk that would solve the PnR problem... aside from health that is... -
You can't trade for Collins and I don't think you're getting Gallinari to match salaries. You're getting Bogdanovic. The rest of you're trade works...
-
Definitely the Knicks trade and no on the others. Even more-so if we could talk the Knicks into Mitch Robinson instead of Noels although there is zero chance the Knicks go for that. But I would try to hold out for Robinson and play them against Atlanta or other interested teams to see if that would work... 2022 protected and if they falter or luck into a top 10 pick? Their 2023 1st rounder?

PS: One last thing... I'm still holding out hope that there are a couple of guys at GR that just need a couple years to develop and that they can still turn into productive players for Detroit. Berggren I'm hoping could still turn into a top-6 forward but... we'll see. 1st year in the AHL. 20 points in his last 22 games so... On a Red Wing and a prayer, or just holding out hope, that he could be one of the 2nd line guys that we need along with Vrana. Maybe we'll see him in 2022 and... McIsaac? Is he a 3rd pairing D who pushes Staal out the door? Good enough that he's a net positive for the Wings, or at least a whole lot better than what we currently have as a 3rd pair? Tyutyayev is a fast offensive player, and young and small and 1st year AHL player and...? The Red Wings seem to really like Sebrango... a defensive defenseman at +11 in 25 GR games. But young at 20... 2nd year AHL. Is he good enough to be a 2nd pairing guy? Can he cover up Hronek's mistakes as a 2nd pair?
-
Hronek maybe hasn't played to his salary... but I'd still want to hold on just for now... Yeah, I don't follow the hockey trades as much as I do in other sports... so it's a little opaque to me. I don't know who is worth a 6th or 7th rounder or a better pick... I mean I get there are other teams/ players available... I just don't have a good understanding in hockey world... I would say this: Yzerman has shocked me with some of the trades he has pulled out of his hat...
-
Taking a step back whilst we finish out this year is just not a critical criteria to me at the moment. We can always reload in the offseason with new signings, trades, prospect graduations (and not necessarily from GR...), etc. I'm in full-on "out with the old and in with the new" mode.
-
Fire Blashill. It's time. I wasn't really thinking about it before this year during the reconstruction. But they are starting to bring up talented players that need better leadership than Blashill. I'm ready for that change now. I like the Larionov idea. Puck control and pinpoint passing. But we need better power play coaching and to your point, finishing checks rather than running away... Need some coaching for that too...

I don't think we have to trade talent or try to get top draft picks... That doesn't matter. Even if we're trading DeKeyser for a 7th rounder because someone needs "insurance" for the playoffs we're still removing dead weight. And if that's all Yzerman can do I don't think anyone will complain. Besides... if Hronek gets traded for "something"... isn't this forum "on board" with that? Personally, I want to give Hronek more time before making that decision. But moving any of DeKeyser, Staal, Greiss, Nametnikov or Gagner for a late round pick because someone wants playoff depth wouldn't bother me at all. They are all expiring contracts. Out with the old, in with the new. If we get offered a 4th for Leddy, also an expiring... I'd at least think about that too...

Well the draft would override everything. "Tough, you're drafted, you're going to do what you're told, period." That's why they get 17 vaccinations. But also.. I wasn't talking necessarily about the choice to join or not join but, rather, the "big brother" sentiment. I don't agree with it. Is the military "shady" by requiring 17 vaccinations? I don't believe so, it's a condition of employment. Are drug tests "shady"? They are required by numerous business and governmental organizations as a condition of employment. If it were the Bubonic Plague that was the pandemic and a vaccination was required as a condition of employment, is that "shady"? I don't disagree with you that there are those who will "feel" that way but... in the immortal words of MAGA: "Fuck their feelings".

You can be smart and still have a "moment of stupidity". I agree with G2... just because a person is smart doesn't mean that they can't do something stupid. Like not getting vaxxed during a pandemic.
-
Everyone entering the military is required to get 17 vaccinations in order to do so... I'm calling BS on the above sentiment. If it were the Bubonic Plague going around instead of Covid... I'm thinking there'd be a lot less anti-vaxxers... Literally... Both less, and less still amongst the living.
