His talent has always been legit. He was the Tigers' first "big" International signing when they spent $550K in 2016 on him. He's always had speed (between last year and this year he's stolen 34 bases and been caught 3 times...) and a hit tool. He's had flashes before this year too... But, as usual, you never know how a prospect is actually going to develop, legit or not. He seems to be filling out and starting to produce nice results with some added power. As opposed to some high profile 2nd rounders (Meadows, Rivera) flopping because their ability to hit a baseball at the higher levels is non-existent. Can he sustain it as he rises up the ranks...? I think we'll see on that shortly...

Miggy the rest... fill in the blanks with whatever leftover mashed potatoes we have cooked up for the day. Hell, bench Schoop and start Clemens at 2B in the #6 spot... why not?

I'm talking about his career. Not just 1 game in his rookie year. Today's game is a whatever happens, happens game. Another blowout entirely possible... which doesn't change my hopes/ expectations.

I have higher hopes for Wentz. 4th/ 5th starter.

The flipside is I would say we can't look at Rony or Brieske as anything more than back of the rotation types anyways. And the up and down performances that come with that... If they do better than that great... but I think my expectations for them range from middle reliever to spot starter to 5th/ 6th/ 7th starter. Which is still needed in any Org... I'm just saying...

Since this is an expected transition year... I'd have no problem, if they are deemed ready (I don't think Carpenter is), giving guys a shot in MLB at the expense of a Vet or two who will not be a part of our future... I'm looking at you Grossman and Schoop (I know he's been hitting some the last week or two... but he's still not a part of our future IMO)... Give Clemens a chance just to see if on the off chance he can be part of our future. I know Schoop is only 30 but... Just call me the Hatchet Man. And let him go....
