As close as I can get. I can't do the no-confidence thing... I don't understand the no-confidence thing. Unless it's just a pessimistic personality speaking out loud. Buddha, I think you resemble that last comment. I mean... it's pretty sucky watching them right now... And I am not going to champion their future prospects (winning, not players). I would just say... it's way too early to make any judgement calls at this point. What I would say is that, even if you don't like all of Weaver's moves, including those damn stretches... That he IS able to identify and draft talent. And this team hit rock bottom thanks to SVG, and so... we're going to be getting a few top-o-the-draft picks so... It might take a couple years but, let's see who Weaver drafts over the next two years, what kind of team he assembles, before rushing to judgement.

They'll have a top 5 draft pick next year. And probably hit the lottery the following year as well (if they don't, that means they're already in the playoffs....) It all rests with Cade? BS. That's this year, and next year will be totally different for the Pistons because basketball teams can change just that much. This comment makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. None.

On confidence... It's going to be a tough slog for the Lions. There's just too much to do and too many weaknesses to fix... With the Pistons, it's just easier. It's basketball. Top 3 pick next year: Get lucky #1 and we get Paulo Banchero. Lesser pick still = Jabari Smith or Jalen Duren. The next Chris Webber/ Blake Griffin, Rashard Lewis, Dwight Howard? Yeah, we'll see about that. But here's the downriver: Jerami Grant gets pushed to SF where his lack of rebounding gets hidden. Saddiq Bey gets pushed to the bench as a 3&D Scorer off the bench that will have an advantage against most bench SF's... We just fixed 3 problems with one draft pick. I'm confident that the Pistons have an easier road to competitive/ playoff basketball and will get there sooner than the Lions. The Lions are in a worse spot with a more difficult road to travel to get back to being a good team. And might never get there (under the current Admin). I'm pretty certain the Pistons will. Even though their play this year is just as ugly as the Lions play this year...

So if Biden hits a rough patch, mainstream media will also bash Biden whilst Fox & Fellow Fascist networks will bash him regardless. That's why I think it's next season before we see a real playoff level type of improvement. We're toing to just miss this year. Or at least that's where I'm setting my expectations.

The Points %-age (winning %-age, actually) is a good indicator of where we need to get to to make the playoffs. The Rangers are getting points at a 74% win rate. We're at a 56% win rate. That would be hard to catch up to. I don't see it happening. Certainly not this year. Boston and the Blue Jackets are at 58% and 60% respectively. That's our starting point. To get into the playoffs this year... we have to beat Boston's 58%. Convert the points per game numbers for each team and you're going to run into basically the same thing...

Greiss is why I wanted so desperately to sign undrafted goalie Filip Lindberg. Once Petruzzelli said he wasn't signing with us... Lindberg was the perfect Plan B. He'd be playing in Grand Rapids this year... and be primed to replace Greiss next year or even for some games this year... At Wilkes-Barre he has a 2.76 GA and a .915 save percentage. He was even better in college. And I believe he'll improve and end up being the next Nedeljkovic... But that's just me.
