  1. With a 1.41 WHIP in his minor league travails... He might have an awesome breaking pitch... But he sucks. At least for anyone that cares about keeping baserunners off the bases. Unless there are Felipe Lira 2.0 fans out there...?
  2. Put him in the bullpen.
  3. Wenceel Perez. Leadoff Triple. Good at baseball.
  4. Hah! Sure... I took his OE% down though...
  5. Here's a key point: Official MLB stats ALSO includes stats from the FEDERAL LEAGUE of 1914-1915. The Federal League was NOT the AL nor the NL. Point.
  6. Just like Shoeless Joe Jackson.
  7. Foundation, foundation, foundation...
  8. Campos got a HBP and taken out of the game...
  9. Oh... Do tell... This seems somewhat similar to the Al-Shifa Hospital bombing with an estimated 300 or so Palestinian casualties... That ended up being errant Hamas missiles instead of an Israeli bombing. At least it seems that way. I wonder how many of the 36K Gazan dead are actually at the hands of Hamas crossfire/ errors/ errant missiles/ secondary weapons explosions or on purpose killings by Hamas? 1,000? 2,000? We know it was Hamas missiles at Al-Shifa Hospital and we know they were shooting and killing Gazans that were directed to safe corridors. The true numbers will never be known.
  10. War is hell. Mistakes are made. Mistakes are ALWAYS made in war. Not a genocide.
  11. Just in case LLM is MIA... I could throw a Sunday afternoon special out there... (I think he missed Saturday's too...?): Toledo: Postponed due to rain. Erie Wins 12-5 Over Altoona (another team of ours with an offensive explosion and no interesting story on pitching): Workman 2-4, single-double-1 BB, .753 OPS Lee 2-4, singles - 1 BB, .756 OPS Trei Cruz 2-4, singles - 1 BB, .752 OPS WM Loses to Lake County 7-6 Gold 1-3, single-1 BB, .273 BA, .886 OPS Campos 1-3, double-SF, .278 BA, .809 OPS Anderson 0-4, .693 OPS Joe Miller - 4 Inn's, 3 H's 1 BB 1 ER 4 K's, 2.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP Lakeland Wins 4-0 over Palm Beach McGonigle 1-2, single-2 BB's, .329 BA, .881 OPS Rayner Castillo - 5 inn's, 3 H's 1 BB 0 ER 2 K's, 0.00 ERA 1st & only game in Lakeland so far.
  12. Until it isn't. And then all hell breaks loose...
  13. I think these guys read my post in here... And got QUITE... IRKED. And have decided to show me up this weekend. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. PS: Good for you guys.
  14. Campos stakes WM to a 1-0 lead with a solo HR...
  15. That's what I remember too.
  16. Eddys Leonard on his rehab down in Lakeland was one of those singles...
  17. That IS quite the comical take...
  18. Most definitely... Yes.
  19. I think the same thing could be had by throwing him into the 9th spot. Nothing to do there but get on base. But also... he's right in front of the top of the order... which would actually be an incentive to get on base.
  20. I sort of ignored this part... But I went to go look at some numbers just because I wanted to see the comparisons. Since Dingler has only been a minor leaguer I should start there. But before I start on the numbers a few thoughts I had on him: 1) I thought I remembered in his draft profile that he had a high hit tool and so I thought "Great, a possible .290-ish hitting catcher with some power! That would be great!" He quickly dispelled me of that notion as he struggled a few years in Erie trying to get over .240. His first Pro year, in Lakeland at .333 and .287 at WM, had me hopeful, even though he got some Erie time that same year and hit .202. His 2nd year was .238 at Erie and 3rd year was (2023) was .253. Now I'm thinking he's gonna be more Jake Rogers. 2) By 2022 I'm thinking Dingler will end up somewhere between Jake Rogers and Lance Parrish... and HOPING he ends up closer to Parrish than Rogers. He's sucking wind at Erie though and I'm thinking "Crap, he's gonna be more like Jake Rogers". Some #'s: Parrish: 6'3" 210#'s, RH'ed. Drafted out of HS. Wasn't a high average guy. And actually did better in the Majors than in the minors. Probably because he was drafted as a HS kid. Minors: 1,626 PA's, 56 HR's, .241 BA, .732 OPS. And he made the Tigers at age 21. Majors: 7,797 PA's, 324 HR's, .252 BA, .753 OPS. Also: Lifetime WAR of 39.5 and OPS+ of 106. Rogers: 6'1" 205#'s, RH'ed. Drafted - Tulane. Majors at 24. Minors: 1,392 PA's, 52 HR's, .242 BA, .779 OPS. (Pretty close to Parrish except he was older from start to finish). Majors: 726 PA's, 33 HR's, .204 BA, .673 OPS. Well that sucks. Dingler: 6'2" 210#'s, RH'ed. Drafted out of Ohio State. 25 & in Toledo right now. Minors: 1,317 PA's, 48 HR's, .248 BA, .773 OPS. Yeah... I'm hoping he's closer to Parrish than Rogers. Not by age... just by MLB performance...
  21. Also... Parker has much greater range/ speed than Perez and probably (just guessing) would have called off Riley. I don't think Perez was in a spot to call him off. Positioning himself (Parker) for the better throw to 3rd.
  22. This is correct.
  23. Bullpen comes through and shuts down the Blue Jays... Getting Olson his FIRST win of the season!!! A+
  24. AVILA GEM KERRY CARPENTER HITS A 2-RUN HR IN THE 1ST!!! WOO-HOO! 2-0 TIGERS!!!
