  1. That's 4/5ths of a starting rotation. Leaving only 1 spot to fill.
  2. If you sign one of Wood-Gausman-Verlander... Our rotation is Mize-Skubal-Verlander-Manning (just to insert a name...) Whoever we sign is immediately at least a #3 for us and Manning is now at the back end (4th/5th starter). Who else at the back end? I predict signings like Peralta/ Teheran, plus competition from Alexander, Wentz & Faedo for the 5th spot. In 2023 it's Mize-Skubal-Turnbull-Manning plus 5th spot. Which would include JV/ Wood/ Gausman if they are signed to more than 1 year...
  3. Signing almost ANY FA SS will VASTLY improve the defense. Bringing up Tork to play 1B and leaving Schoop at 2B and Cabrera 90% at DH will vastly improve the defense. Hill getting a lot more CF play and Greene in CF or RF will vastly improve the defense. Replacing Ramos & other catching weak links with Barnhart will vastly improve the defense. What exactly are you looking at that you don't see much improvement from the defense?
  4. I'll add him to my top 5 list.
  5. And I'll bet they are all (well, maybe > 95%) unvaccinated. You reap what you sow.
  6. That actually helps out this country immensely. Republicans would rather F this country over than do the right thing. Except those few Republican/ bipartisan votes that decided to actually do the right thing. I'm fed up with the F'ing obstructionism. Quit playing horseshit partisan politics and get this country MOVING in the right direction! (That would be called setting us up for success, now and in the future, and enough of the freaking culture war BS!!!)
  7. I would be perfectly fine with that.
  8. Trump raised our debt from $19 Trillion to $27 Trillion. But Republicans most CERTAINLY don't want to talk about THAT...! Amirite?
  9. Plus this. We've already increased cooperation with India, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Philippines, etc... Keep pushing the collective economic and security options in the area...
  10. On a more serious note... Permanently place an American carrier or battleship group at Port (Kaohsiung? Or at a lesser, less commercial port?) in Taiwan. Rotating one group out only as a new group enters Port at essentially the same time. Also, station 5,000 rotating, semi-permanent American training cadre on the island. Anti-aircraft/ Air Force, etc... China likes to preemptively lash out... Let's give them a target and say "go ahead". I'll call their bluff (-ing language and behavior towards Taiwan over the past 6 months or so...).
  11. Nuke 'em.
  12. That one I would agree with you. That was unwarranted.
  13. The Cade Good: 3-7 from 3. Leads the Pistons in scoring. And looks a little more confidant... The Cade Bad: 3-13 from 2. Oh, and he still looks like a rookie... still some tentative play and all that. The Cade Ugly: 6 TO's. Bottom Line: Pistons lose by 6.
  14. My guess is Story ends up in between those numbers... not near that high point and more than the 100... My guess would be more in the $125-$160mm range..
  15. What were you saying about the trolliest troll? (I'm thinking that is more like botton 10 versus top 10 in trolliest trolls as I've seen some real doozies... including):
  16. See above... lots of Cade talk...
  17. I prefer the 10 years in prison option.
  18. I'd rather see him take charge though. That means if the shot is open, he has to take it. Aside from that... I see him including all his teammates in his passing so... I think that should provide cover for him taking open shots, especially since he is most likely the best shooter on the team. Once he gets past his rookiness and gets his "sea legs" back that is...
  19. Yeah... I HIGHLY doubt that this rebuild will be "ruined" by any one Free Agent signing. Bust or not. Hyberbolic.
  20. Cade looks good. Still some misses. But I don't see an issue with his shooting aside from being a rookie coming off very little time played over the past several weeks... But I was more annoyed when he got past everyone twice with a clear shot at the basket from within 5 feet or so... and kicked it out 20 feet to the perimeter. He's got to take those shots...
  21. But is that enough to wager 5 years and $100-120 Mill? I've got him on my want list... but quite a bit lower than others on my list because I don't want to go that long on an SP contract nor does he have a lengthy trustworthy history and as you pointed out... a suspect go-forward arsenal that indicates longevity/ effectiveness (potential) issues... I'd rather avoid the lengthy contract to be honest. 1st choice Verlander or Syndergaard, fallback Wood or McHugh.
  22. There was no disagreement with that. By anyone. Ever. (Wait.. except for the Chinese Administration which did everything they could to deflect... but they don't count.)
  23. Sure, take a shot... We've got absolutely nothing to lose at this point...
