  1. Dave Sears...? Director of College Scouting?
  2. PS: Who did we lose prior to the 2023 season? Front office and coaching staff: Duce Staley and...?
  3. We will be poached... And we will be a destination for new up-and-comers... So... Yes.
  4. 50/50. Harris offers him an extension before the deadline and Flaherty accepts. Or... He'll be the hottest pitching commodity on the market at the deadline.
  5. Which is 53 years ago so Randy's statement still stands... 😉
  6. But also... Someone in the top 10 will reach for a guy who isn't. No guarantees, but it always seems to happen. And if it does, we'll have a choice between the 11th guy and maybe 1 or 2 others in the top-11 where there's that "huge" drop off after the 11 top guys. I'm not certain which 2 (or 3) guys I want to be available at 11 if that were to happen...
  7. That was started by Republican (Fox) assholes who told any athlete who made a political comment to shut up and just play. Stop being a hypocrite.
  8. That... And IIRC... The stock market was the ONLY economic indicator/rate/measurement that Trump used, or actually knew what it was. He didn't know any other economic indicators (oh wait a second, unemployment rate... that was the ONE other rate that he knew of... aside from those two... de NADA). Always the brainless ****, that Donald Q Trump... So if the Stock Market is the ONLY rate that Trump is capable of using for the U.S. economy (ok, and the unemployment rate), and he brags and broadcasts that constantly, and his sheeple followers believe he's an economic GENIUS because... well... complete and total ignorance actually... But that means Trump says "stock market" and that means he's an economic GENIUS!!!... well, then that means Biden is TWICE!!! the genius that Drumpfster is... Right ewsieg?
  9. Does anyone know if Navigato in Toledo is an actual, real, live SS? I mean, he plays the position... Sometimes...
  10. Hmmmm.... I wonder how that happened...? 😉
  11. Probably because he sat around too much while they were doing all this scoring... Feels weird to type that...
  12. Thank you, thank you, thank you.... It all makes sense.
  13. I was thinking... That maybe, just maybe... The hitting coaches today said "All right, just screw it, if you see a good pitch, go ahead and swing." That's my conspiracy theory and I'm sticking to it.
  14. Anyone know why Greene got pulled for McKinstry?
  15. Friday games (my last one this week and then I'll hand it back over to LLM... 19. I've come around to liking DPJ again... I mean... I loved the cheap trade for him, and he fits the mold of what the team wants in their WR's... And he had that nice production in 2021-22, which is what I was looking to... So I don't know why I wouldn't love him this year. I still love the trade for him... I think my first choice for filling Reynolds' shoes is DPJ. Jaymo to me is whatever we get from him will be explosive and a huge bonus. DPJ to me is the dependable guy that Goff can turn to, in addition to ARSB and LaPorta and... etc. to get 1st downs (especially if those two are getting double coverage... which will happen a lot this season IMO) when we need them. Maybe Green can become this guy also... I just know less about him, and his realistic chances, versus what DPJ has already proven in the NFL.
  20. Dingler has some power but is hitting like Jake Rogers so can only get to it occasionally. I'm fine with him backing up Jake next year... Workman was supposed to have some power but it's probably better at the moment for him to concentrate on hit tool to make certain he can connect enough to get to that power (or even have a chance at getting to MLB to make the attempt...). Luke Gold has some power and is having a nice year at WM, High-A: .568 SLG and .955 OPS. Malloy & Baddoo & Jung as previously stated... Guys who COULD develop power (Briceno, Campos) are too young/ early in development to have shown it much yet... We have SOME power in the system, not a huge amount and there's a lot of risk with what power we have... And not one dominant monster power guy (with enough hit tool to actually get to it) as far as I can see...
  21. Isn't Alim McNeil also eligible for an extension? What's going on with him...? I've heard nothing...
  22. Wednesday games: Toledo - Postponed due to weather again. two games tomorrow and two games Sunday to make up... Erie Loses to Harrisburg 7-4 Workman 1-5, double, .859 OPS Lee 0-5, 2 K's, .743 OPS Trei Cruz 1-3, 1 BB-double, .655 OPS WM Wins 3-1 in 10 Inn's over Peoria Anderson 2-5, (2) singles, .729 OPS Gold 1-5, single, .955 OPS Campos 1-4, single-HBP 3 K's, .751 OPS Joe Miller (2022-11th rounder, 24 yo LH'er), 5 Inn's, 1 H 1 BB 5 K's, 1.00 ERA. Hasn't looked good the past two years but looks great so far in a small sample size this year: 27 Inn's 34 K's 0.78 WHIP and 1.00 ERA. 124 K's overall in 108 Inn's so he has... maybe something good? Lower ranks though... Lakeland Wins 16-1 over Ft. Myers (!!!!!!) McGonigle 2-3, single-HR 2 BB's, .870 OPS Clark 2-5, singles 1 BB, .702 OPS Jake Miller (2022-8th rounder, 22 yo LH'er), 5 inn's 5 H's 0 BB 4K's, 0.44 ERA. Hasn't looked good the past two years but looks great so far in a small sample size this year: 20 Inn's 28 K's 0.93 WHIP and 0.44 ERA. 91 K's overall in 70 Inn's so he has... maybe something good? Lower ranks though...
  23. A 30K bike race would suffice.
