I was really thinking along the lines of who I would want most to pair up with Edvinsson. That's Andersson. For lots of reasons. He's been mentioned in a couple rumors but not often and I don't know if Calgary is seriously looking to make that move. Could just be internet rumors with nothing behind it... I just seized on the idea of pairing up Andersson (I believe he's under contract for 2 more years) with Edvinsson for the next 2... That would be a fine 2nd pairing... Tuomisto I see as a 3rd pairing defensive guy I think. Maybe as early as next year. In two years, as Andersson's contract ends... I think the next gen would be ready with ASP/ Gibson/ Johansson pressing out of GR for some NHL time... But 2024-2026 could be Seider/ Andersson/ Tuomisto on the right side... At least in my dreams...

Even Wentz looks good, as a middle reliever, in 2 innings with 5 K's...

I thought they were looking for playoff help, not a 1st rounder... That was how they presented it to the media... as he could be part of a package for someone who can help them, right now...

But we could also find ways to dump some contracts as well... Including not re-signing some of our UFA's if Yzerman is willing to take his chances with Edvinsson, Cossa and Kasper (and if they are ready for the NHL challenge)...

I'd rather have Rasmus Andersson at 27 y.o. than Tanev at 34. But I'm still thinking about the next 5 years and not just this year so maybe that's just me...

I would change that to look for a younger guy who's not getting a good NHL opportunity or is underperforming but has a lot of talent. Like buddha said... another Jake Walman opportunity. The Rangers have already said they are dangling Kakko, the Oilers said they're dangling Broberg. I'm interested in both but don't know if Stevie Y is, or what it would cost. Those would be long-term moves though, not "boosts" for this year's playoff run. But I would like the longer term future of the Wings more, if we could pull in a talent or two like that. Much more so, IMO, than going after a Tanev.

So you want to end ALL support for Israel, after we have supported them for 77 years (since 1947), and they have at times been our ONLY ally in the Middle East... Because...? Is that your position?
