Couple rags I was reading stated DeJean would "probably shift to Safety in the NFL"... I don't know how accurate that is... But it probably wouldn't help our CB deficiency if that were to become abundantly clear/ true. I'd be fine with Quin Mitchell. And there does seem to be some depth at CB this year. May even be able to find another starter in the 3rd (eventually) round. I'll trust Holmes to find 1 or 2 of these guys.

Great, replace Kuzmenko with Fabbri. But you included BOTH Veleno and Fabbri. You seem to be avoiding my question: why did you include BOTH? If Fabbri replaces Kuzmenko, who does Veleno replace... the low-level prospect?

Fine: The Canucks gain this trade because they'll include Brzustewicz and Yzerman will NOT trade Pellikka... and they had Kuzmenko and we can only counter with Fabbri or Berggren (I don't think he lets go of Veleno just yet...). My point remains the same: If we trade for a Lindholm (and MUST get him with an agreed-upon extension) then it makes other guys expendable. Same with Hanifan. IE: Who would I love to MOST pair up with Seider? It's not Chiarot, or Walman, or Ghost, or Maatta, or Edvinsson, or Wallinder, or Albert Johansson. It's Hanifan. IMO: (A) That creates the strongest playoff-quality top pairing for this year and at least the next (6 or 7?) (B) Who do I want as my 3 LH'ed D-men (and I'll add a 4th for depth)? Hanifan, Edvinsson, Walman, and 1 of Maatta or Johansson. That makes everyone else expendable, in my mind. It's why I'm willing to trade players/ prospects. I'm looking for the strongest team long-term, not just this year.

That's what I'm hoping as well. But again... what if he DOES make the decision to retire? We're already losing Jonah Jackson. And IMO, our O-Line is the engine that drives the offense. Glasgow is also unsigned... although I think he resigns with the Lions on a 2-3 year deal. He could take over at Center if need be (he did this year when Ragnow was out for that game or two...); but then we need two guards (if Ragnow were indeed, to retire). Even if he doesn't retire... I guess the bottom line to me is that the team needs to make serious moves not only in having a starter at each of the 3 IOL positions... but also needs to have serious backup plans as well.

That would be the key for any Wings trade like this. An extension would HAVE to be agreed upon. Let's say it's Noah Hanifan... Yeah, gotta have the extension.

I'm putting this here too because it may very well affect the Lions 2024 draft: Ragnow is not going to the Pro Bowl so he can rest and "figure everything out" after all his injuries this year. If he retires: What then for the Lions? If if he doesn't retire... it tells me the team should be "on notice" of that eventuality. And that it may come sooner (even during 2024 dues to not-yet-incurred injuries) rather than later.

I meant in the way that Ukrainian drones are buzzing around Russia looking for targets. Shutting down the internet in northwest Russia shuts down drone activity in that area. A slight reconstruction of the roster, by only a few players, not a total remake... to put better long-term players, and tougher two-way players that can better handle the grind of the playoffs. Mostly on defense. But I'll take a two-way forward also, if we can get one. Like Lindholm. The only thing you got correct was the 1st and 4th. But a 1st, 4th, Berggren, Cossa OR Augustine, Wallinder OR Johansson... this is something I would consider. Canucks probably got the better deal, or players they liked more... but my construction is a lot closer/ more accurate than yours. And maybe Cossa "gets the deal" done.

I just looked at the Canucks prospects 2023 and they had those two defensive prospects at #6 and #9... So some dispute as to which prospects would have to be included here... But as stated.. no, I think that's a bit too rich a cost to make the deal.

This. I don't think it's worth it to trade up for a CB like DeJean. I'd rather stick and draft Arnold or Mitchell or Rakestraw (Wiggins doesn't tackle well... I'll bet dollars to donuts he's not on Holmes/ DC's draft board). If DeJean is the guy that falls to us fine... but I like the other guys just as much so I'd rather not spend extra picks to move up unnecessarily (IMO).

And if Jackson leaves there is still an immediate need at LG. I'm not certain how high they are on Awosika?
