  1. My Mark Warner email response, Dear Mr [Nice try ISIS, not today] Thank you for contacting me with your thoughts related to Ukraine, and Russia’s violent invasion. I have been horrified by President Trump’s abandonment of Ukraine as it fights for survival against Russia’s unprovoked and brutal aggression. Putin’s invasion of a smaller sovereign state is immoral, and poses a monumental threat to our core security interests. Trump’s inability to condemn Russia for its heinous acts, and his policies that have actively aligned the United States of America with countries like Russia and North Korea, via our votes at the United Nations, is a new low and a stain on our history. The President’s treatment of President Zelenskyy during the meeting at the White House earlier this year was beyond bizarre and an embarrassment. Trump’s embrace of Putin and decisions impacting our vital military and intelligence support to Ukraine, offered a great victory to tyrant rulers around the world, and drive us away from our allies who – for generations – stood by our side as we worked to create a safer and more prosperous world after the horrors of the Second World War. Ukrainians have displayed remarkable courage, resolve, and strength as they fend off Russia’s brutal invasion. While Putin naively expected that Kyiv would fall in a matter of days, Ukraine has instead displayed tremendous willingness and ability to fight and has decimated Russia’s military capabilities for some time to come. Without risking the life of a single American or NATO soldier, Ukraine has imposed enormous losses on Russia’s military, preserved democracy over autocracy, and thwarted Putin’s imperial ambitions. As Ukraine continues its fight against Russian authoritarianism, continued American support remains decisive. As the Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, I will continue working to ensure that Ukraine has the diplomatic, security and intelligence backing that they so critically need, and I will hold the administration’s feet to the fire to ensure that President Trump abides by the United States’ commitments to allies and partners. Sincerely, MARK R. WARNER United States Senator

  4. I got a very good response from Sen Mark Warner on the Zelensky incident at the White House. I'll parse that out later.
  5. Glad to see consequences are happening Zack Pizzaz: "“What may have taken the spring out of the Easter Bunny’s hop for Target is a 40-plus day boycott coinciding with Lent (so ending on Easter) spearheaded by Black clergy for which more than 150,000 have signed up, exceeding organizers’ stated goal of 100,000.”" — Bluesky
  6. 6 more hours in him? I mean an athlete who has a goal like the Strom Thurmond 24 hours seems like he could do it.
  7. its horrifying for sure.
  8. I didn't have much truck with Stewart either. Seemed very obvious and common type of humor compared to others.

  13. This presidential thing is a weird zone for many people. In last bulwark pod, Annie Karni's reported on Nancy Mace that her mind went to sludge when she heard a rumor that she was on the short list for VP and she went beyond MAGA to affirm her place in the Trump orbit.

  15. The debilitation of age sucks. I'm able now because of this softball organization I run get access to a Jugs machine that can feed me all the balls i would have loved to have hit when I was younger but because of this elbow thing or that back thing, its just not something where I can rip em like I would have done if I were in my 30s. I still love to be outside, coaching and running down fly balls with the girls but the arguments with my joints are louder and more one-sided.

  20. I tuned out of those films. I don't know why. Baby Driver is a fantastic movie for car chases. That film is wonderful, actually.
  21. I never really had faith in this squad. The turnover thing seemed like a manifestation of them being all new to each other but that doesn't really make sense. It would be interesting to see how the coaching staff shapes the future.
