so, I was forced by a family function to be near my Trumpie brother. He started to engage me about how sad the Charlie Kirk death was and I shared my son's joke: "well at least he died doing what he loved, instigating campus shootings."

i'm tracking that this was a weird hit job on the Tigers as they started a series in NY. Someone in the Athletic felt they needed to piss off Tigers ownership with things that happen every day and to every level of America (NO POLITICS). Glad the Tigers thrashed the Yankees for 2 of 3 but no chance that was related to any reaction in the clubhouse.

Something about the Yankees brings out the absolute best in our franchise. Fighting back after the Yankees tied game 1 of the 2012 ALCS, the day game that Verlander and Zumaya won in 2006 ALDS...some great memories.

The NY Yankees will be hosting POTUS tonight. They celebrated the life of Charlie Kirk and their lapdog house organ put out a hit piece on the Tigers. I realize the baseball players on the Tigers are not automatons and have varying views on things. I'm guessing a bunch of these guys are fans of POTUS. I just don't want to know or see pictures of them with him.

I shoot quite a bit and 200 yards for a single lethal shot is no mean feat. Stable platform, prone, not running around with chem gear on would help. Modern optics would make that much easier. Shooter was perhaps waiting for Kirk to say school shootings bit to make their point.
