I have checked out as much as I can for a team I love. You can't subject yourself to hope when you know something is fundamentally broken somewhere. I could speculate about clubhouse, coaching, data-driven approaches all being bust but the one thing that they were bad at in the off season was not bringing in hitting help (even symbolic help). The team that nearly beat the Mariners in 7 games is not out there the last month.

Jack White is a very dry wit. I think Eminem's bolt on appearance was meh. Jeff Daniels was pretty good. Shout out to the two ladies whose show that is normally. They were good. The lady who was serving as his assistant at the show is a cutie. She captured Michigan-chick-stressed-out-by-situation very well. If we are going to have Jeff Daniels, Eminem and Jack White as the go to celebrities, Jack is my favorite.

Was going through corporate training and they identified their anti-Human trafficking policy and it stressed that any prostitution was in and of itself human trafficking. Which is pretty interesting. Had a parent of one of my softball players who was a former victim of trafficking and she told me a bunch of her stories. She was a very attractive woman but her daughter was terrible at ball. Her legal record prevented her from joining as one of the assistant coaches but she actually was an expert witness for several anti-trafficking organizations and consulted for the DOJ (when they cared about such things).

If you were the team of hitting coaches for this team... maybe you should be shot into the sun.
