  1. That’s not fan interference.
  2. So Michigan AND the Tigers can both cough up nice leads in a blink of the eye.
  3. I saw the Blackhawks getting their rings and banner raised before the Wings-Hawks opener at the United Center in 2010. Even though it was their first Cup in almost 60 years, the fans still chanted Detroit Sucks during the presentation. Imagine being that much in their heads.
  4. I like the late start tonight. Gives me a chance to watch the final two flights of the ladies singles free skate at the world figure skating championships in Boston. Go Maddy go!
  5. Next we can acquire a guy nicknamed Red from Cincinnati, a dude name Ray from Tampa and a Latino named Angel from L.A.
  6. I didn't watch the game but saw the final last night and was really surprised. NCAA hockey knockouts can be so unpredictable, some stacked Michigan teams have been bitten in past years.
  7. It’s the MLB.tv free game of the day.
  8. So how did the firing of Jim Montgomery work out, Bruins? They fired him 20 games into this season after 135 and 109 point seasons, and they're as abysmal as the Wings now, at 69 points through 73 games. Meanwhile, the Blues who were 9-12-1 before Montgomery have gone 30-16-6 since hiring him, including 14-2-2 since the 4 Nations break.
  9. No, they got destroyed by the White Sox.
  10. Wings fall. 72 points with 10 to go. Will they even reach 80 points?
  11. Tarasenko, lol! 4-3 with 4:30 to go.
  12. Halfway through the 2nd period and it's 3-0 Ottawa and the Wings are 0 for 5 on the powerplay. Is this the lowest of a month of deep lows?
  13. The Wings had 30 points in 34 games for Lalonde, for a .444 points percentage. If they had played even at that lousy pace last 13 games (11 pts instead of 6 pts) they’d have 5 extra points and would be in good playoff position.
  14. 12-3 Wings in shots, 2-0 Sens in goals.
  15. The Wings have had 3 power plays already but haven’t scored.
  16. Chabot cha-boom, 1-0 Sens. Larkin deserves the 1st assist on that.
  17. Yes, all of that. But also make sure to film it, add a soundtrack in the background, then edit it down to a 40-second TikTok video. If you do that entire list and still have time left over, you could even spend time with your family.
  18. Torts seems to get decent short term results for a season or two before his act gets old quick.
  19. I like when it seemed that everyone was watching the game live at the same time. Now between alerts and some games being on apps or listening on satellite radio and different cable companies and message board posts, there can be a 0-100 second difference between when people find out about a goal or run being scored.
  20. What should really have the Wings kicking themselves is how poorly other bubble teams have played and how low of a points total might be enough to make it into the playoffs. In the West, 8th place St. Louis has 83 points with 9 to play and the Wings would be 11 points out and probably just a few games away from being mathematically eliminated. Vancouver has 80 points with 10 to play and Calgary has 79 points with 12 to play. Could easily see Vancouver or Calgary hitting 94 points but still missing out. Meanwhile in the East, 8th place Montreal only has 75 points with 12 to play, while the Islanders and Rangers both have 74 points with 11 and 10 games remaining respectively. Montreal even going 7-4-1 would as likely as not get in with 90 points. Last year the Wings' 91 points had them lose out on 91-point Washington on a tiebreaker. Wings, at 72 points with 11 to play, need to go 9-2 to hit 90 points and that's not going to happen the way they're playing and with 5 of their final 6 games being on the road. That said, home wins tonight against Ottawa and slumping Boston on Saturday would give the illusion of being "close".
  21. But in the end, maybe Zimm rubbed off on him. https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/news/casper-wells-dad-was-thoroughly-unimpressed-by-sons-performance/278801/ For more on Casper Wells’ dad, we go to ESPN’s Jayson Stark, who gave the utility player a “Special Mystery Pitcher Citation” in his weird and wacky highlights from the 2013 baseball season.
