Yeah it wasn't just last year, it was the season before when a disastrous back to back against Ottawa just before the deadline led to Yzerman abandoning the season. Is the Wings' depth so lacking that even an injury to a middling player like Copp can send them downwards? At least last year the slide coincided with the loss of captain Larkin. Is it goaltending hitting the wall this time of year due to defense all year not being strong enough? Anyways, I'll try not to overreact just yet. It has only been 3 games. But picking up 0 of 6 available points this time of year is killer, especially when 2 of the 3 games were at home and when 2 of the 3 games were against teams at the same level.
